Avodart when off ADT a mistake?
If one is trying to prevent prostate cancer cells from becoming insensitive to ADT, then is it wise to continue dutasteride while on the off cycle? If per Snuffy most of the support for PC cells comes from DHT not T, then just as stopping T reduces the DHT, is not dutasteride acting in a similar way

Cause of metallic taste?
I'm on 50mg Prednisolone daily and wonder if that's the cause of a permanent metallic taste in my mouth. Does anyone else have this problem? I find my sense of taste has been really affected.

Dietary Restrictions to Prolong the Life of a Kidney Transplant
It has been found that if patients substitute soya or some vegetable source for the animal proteins they normally eat and severely restrict the amount of salt they normally consume they can significantly slow the decline of renal transplants. From personal experience I can say that such a diet really

DIL vs SLE - Anti Histone Antibody
Hi everyone, Been awhile since I posted so blessings to you all! I'm posting this in the hopes someone has some knowledge of this topic or knows someone who could answer some questions in more depth than I can find online. As some of you know, I have a bit of a weird storyline that led to my diagnosis

"Cholera Vaccine for Prostate Cancer Patients"
I'm 79. Diagnosed stage 4 prostate cancer, Gleason 9, in July 2017. Doing very well on Zytiga/Prednisone and Lupron. Saw a reference to the use of cholera vaccine by prostate cancer patients and followed it up by locating an article in "Nature Communications", June 18, 2018, on that topic (link: https

Newest Test Lab result shows increase of eGFR
Hi everyone, I have done the lab after 3 months of first diagnosed as CKD stage 2 and just received both good news and bad news on it. Good news: eGFR increased from 82 to 97.5 and Albuminuria is no more occurring. Bad news: My HbA1c is 6.4%, which is showing that I am severely at the threshold between

Post transplant tacrolimus doses
Just curious - husband had liver transplant 2014 and came home on 8mg which was reduced to 5mg and has since been taking the same amount of Advagraf - so 5 years later he is still on 5mg 🤔🤔🤔 his last bloods said it was below target range (4-10 I think) 🤷♀️ - has anyone else experienced this ????

Dental surgery and no running :(
Minor gum surgery has literally left me speechless (stitches in roof of mouth ) dentist said I could run again from today but really don’t feel up to it. Really annoyed as only graduated last week .... ps do dentists need all that equipment in your mouth at one time or do you think it’s just part of

Pembrolizumab/Keytruda severe side effect
I have NSCLC - I'd felt very optimistic after my first treatment in September ....10 days later, I noticed that where I'd had a rasping noise in my throat for a few months, it had gone, and the following week, noticed that my breathing was improved and needed less ventolin etc to keep the airways open
