Metoject side sffects

Hi there, a merry Christmas to you all. I have recently been changed from methotrexate to metoject injection due to ulcers in my mouth being unbearable sore. I now have what looks like water blisters on the sole of my feet and the puss filled ones in my feet. They are not painful thankfully, just uncomfortable. Just been to see pharmacist as I thought it was hand, foot and mouth but she thinks it may be side effect from injection. Has anybody else experienced this? They appear day after injection.

No sorry I don’t get any side effects apart from tired the next day.. I would ring your clinic for advice

I would ring rheumatology. I did get mouth ulcers but not on my feet and like you at this time of year I would have guessed the same as you that I had foot and mouth. So best getting proper diagnosis from rheumy department. Hope it clears up soon xx

No, never! Yes for mouth ulcers though. Hope you quickly get proper advice from Rheumatology and can relax next week.

I reduced mtx dose from 25mg to 15mg and now no mouth ulcers. Also must take folic acid as prescribed.
