HCV-related cirrhosis prevalence increases over time
The number of Americans who have #cirrhosis from chronic HCV infection has increased over time, due to aging of the baby boomers with hepatitis C. These data emphasize that health care providers should practice the CDC recommendation to screen individuals born between 1945 and 1965. http://tinyurl.com

Sugar craving
Hi, I'm struggling with stupid sugar cravings. Are these related to being hypothyroid? I'm recently diagnosed and a week into 25mg of levo. I'm hoping its related but solvable once my medication is right?

Hep c and Lupus ? Is there a connection?
I went to a rheumatologist for my Lupus symptoms (which family dr thought were RA) and was tested for hep c by rheumatologist and found positive.? No needle drug use so a mystery. I was sent immediately to a Gastroenterologist who put me on interferon and ribivirin for hep c. (2002 remember). It didn't

Tonsils
Just wondering how many of us have had our tonsils removed. I was reading an article about tonsillitis as my daughter has it at the moment. It said that the tonsils were bigger the younger you were and shrunk as your immune system built up the older you got. I had mine removed as a child. That got me

Fowl taste
Day 9 today, I was wondering if anyone else gets a fowl taste in their mouth. I feel like my breath must be rotten. I am constantly cleaning my teeth and using mouth wash. I am very paranoid about it.

Scared
Hi I was initially told I had endo 17 years ago at my lap sterilisation. At that time I had no symptoms. During the last 7 years or so I've developed symptoms and had many admissions to hospital due to pain. I've also been given lots of different diagnoses despite me telling them my previous history.

Is Vegetable Oil Really Good for You?
(Reuters Health) - Cooking with vegetable oil to reduce saturated fats can lower cholesterol, but it may not help curb the risk of heart disease or add years to your life, U.S. researchers say. Plenty of previous research has linked polyunsaturated fat in vegetable oil, nuts and seeds with a lower risk

A dying bowel intussusception/What scanning
Adult intussusception is apparently rare. My concern is that Intussusception can cut off the blood supply to the affected portion of the intestine. If left untreated, lack of blood causes tissue of the intestinal wall to die. Tissue death can lead to a tear (perforation) in the intestinal wall, which

Aloe Vera and Constipation, and much more!
As you probably know I have been suffering from chronic anal fissures for almost 4 years. I had used lots of expensive creams which although they helped to open my anal sphincter, my skin became very sensitive to the product, and the burning and pain got subsequently worse. I decided to try Holland
