Procedure
I had a procedure done 3 days ago it was rubber band ligation for hemorrhoids. Has anyone on here ever had this done? I am wanting to see if everything went back to normal in that area because I’m getting super impatient lol I know it will take a little bit but I went through a rough time before I had

My experience with mannitol
FYI, I posted this on 2 PD Facebook groups yesterday: I started taking mannitol 2 weeks ago. I purchased it in bulk from Amazon, and I add 1 tablespoon to a cup of hot organic decaf tea every night (I drink several different types and brands of tea). I've read that it's good to take it with coffee or

What are your experiences with medicinal marijuana?
Hey guys I am new here. I was diagnosed Stage 4 here in Thailand almost 3 years ago. I'm going home to Florida at the end of July to continue treatments there. Since my home state of FloriDUH has medical marijuana, I was wondering what people's experience with it was other than the obvious feeling

After coronavirus, another hidden respiratory disease lurks in the buildings we left behind.
Global outbreaks of coronavirus have forced the closing of schools, gyms, offices and other buildings at a scale never seen before. Now, as countries start reopening after lockdown, those previously abandoned buildings could have become a breeding ground for another infection – Legionnaires’ disease.

Constipation
I am baffled by my constipation. I eat healthy fruit, vegetables, oats and drink plenty of water and make sure I get out for a walk at least once a day but I still get blocked. Not been able to go now for 3 days and taking Dulcolax and Laxido to help. I wish I could manage it by diet alone. I have

Vaginal dryness at 22?
I’m 22 years old and I have endometriosis and PCOS on both my ovaries. For the past year nearly, I have been suffering with a constant itch around the entrance to my vagina. It’s only on the right side and it is in that specific area every single time. It seems to be much worst at night or first thing

Swallowing and Throat issues
I have been experiencing a weird sensory trigger in my throat any time the PD medication (C/L) is wearing off. The same sensation is relieved as the next medication dose kick me back. It cause me an uncontrollable and annoying clearing the throat reflex that is driving nuts to me and my relatives.

National trial launched to test re-purposing existing drugs to treat COVID-19 patients.
A new trial to prevent organ failure and death in COVID-19 patients has been launched, led by clinicians and scientists in Cambridge and London. Thrush or skin condition?
Hello, I’ve suffered from thrush for years now and recently had another positive swab. My GP has prescribed a double dose tablet to take every week for 3 months to try and clear it but I’ve seen no improvement yet (it’s been 4 weeks) and the itching is driving me mad. I just wondered if anyone else

Hello HealthUnlocked Members, I have been on ADT continuously since February 2016 and in general I have tolerated Lupron fairly well to date. The hot flashes have diminished in frequency and intensity over time and bone density is normal for my age (65 years). I have found that exercise, keeping cool

Covid-19 CT update: Good News from Hong Kong Phase 2 Triple Combination. Source: Lancet
A triple-antiviral therapy regimen of interferon-beta1, lopinavir/ritonavir, and ribavirin shortened median time to COVID-19 viral negativity (mild to moderate cohorts) in a small, randomized trial (n=84) done by the University of Hong Kong (China). The median hospital stay was 9 days for patients treated

Topiramate and pain
Has anyone used Topiramate for pain relief, has it been effective? Why were you put on that instead of others? I have had to come off of Noratriptyline.

Provenge Combo with Enzalutamide
Not sure if this has been posted yet. Provenge in combo with Enzalutamide reduces risk of death by 45%. Median OS is 14.5 months vs. just 4 months with Provenge alone (This is what I recall, please tell me if it is significantly different). https://www.urotoday.com/conference-highlights/asco-gu-2020/

Medical Marijuana and RLS
I've had medical marijuana for several years for RLS and restless whole body, and other physical pain. lve tried several different kinds but it doesnt really help me, it just makes me high like it did when l was a kid. However l know how it can help you to relax, which can lessen the anxiety and stress

Otosclerosis - Questions for Otologist (interview)?
Am planning to interview an Otolaryngologist this Saturday morning as part of an educational website I am building on Otosclerosis. He has done more than 125 surgeries for Otosclerosis. Please post suggestions for questions here. Obviously, questions that are useful for the wide audience would be better

Feelings of Deja Vu
Hi everyone - hope you are all staying safe and well. I am currently off all medication - have been since beginning of Dec 2019. It seems that since I stopped having periods things have gone into remission. I just want to ask all a question. I had a seizure in 2011 and ever since I have experienced occasionally
