My partner has had Vaginal Thrush for almost 6 months now due to antibiotics. She has tried pretty much all treatments and doesn't do anything to irritate her vagina what so ever, yet the symptoms persist (mildly). The GP has been little to no help and tested for STDs which has come back negative. Can anyone help or tell us something useful? She is getting sick of it and we just want answers.

Why won't my partners' Thrush go away?
Are you sure it's thrush? Could it be an allergy? (washing powder? Bath products? Condoms?). Have you been treated as well?
Has yr gp considered a lichen sclerosus diagnosis? This can sometimes be mistaken and missed.
Good luck
She's definitely not allergic, she has stopped using anything sensitive or anything that could cause irritation yet her symptoms persist. We have tried speaking to her GP about the possibility of a different disease or infection but they just keep testing for Thrush and BV, nothing else. I have been tested and do not have Thrush, as we haven't had sexual contact during this period of time.
It may be thrush/candida, a fungal infection. There is a diet which helps that, it might be worth a shot.
Test for trichomonas vaginalis if not tested yet
Why go to a private specialist ? Sexual health clinics have remained open throughout COVID and are the experts at managing recurring or persisting vaginal candida ( if that is indeed the diagnosis ). Contact your local service for advice on attending.
