Hi I am going on holiday abroad on Sunday would usually be really excited but since developing a sun allergy earlier this year I just can’t get excited! I haven’t been diagnosed as having a certain condition but it’s looking like a rare (typically) condition called solar urticaria though my reaction

The reason I am so worried is because I have a skin disease which means that I have tiny little open

BCG vaccine - now, later & side effects
I’m keen to hear about parents’ recent experiences of their newborn receiving the BCG vaccine, please - what the side effects were and whether anyone paid to get it a bit later on (and how much it cost). I’m due to give birth in the next few weeks. I’ve been told that the BCG vaccine will be offered

Tirosint users
I have been on a treatment with tirosint and cytomel. I wanted to know if anyone is taking tirosint. I had a wonderful results with the medication. I hope my success with tirosint will help someone else. I know it contains no dyes and acacia, which helps absorption.

Light sleeping
I know many of us have a problem getting enough sleep. For me, I know that my af causes me to lose sleep and my tiredness sets me up for af. So I was talking to my young son about all the things I'd tried to deal with the lightness of my bedroom in the early hours of a summers day (black out blinds,

Leaky legs
Just pin pricks, sorted the bleeding and
wounds
quickly. Then I noticed I was dripping clear fluid from the holes. This has gone on for a couple of days. Apparently it is called leaky legs! Anyone, had any experience of this? I could, of course, just get a plumber in 😉

Laparoscopy healing
When I had my laparoscopy on the 13th June they went through my belly button but it just doesn’t seem to be healing, it’s already been infected so I’ve been on antibiotics for it but now at the top the skin just doesn’t seem to be coming together and it’s constantly oozing because it’s trying to come

Showing compassion when you're low.

were bigger than they could see. And it made me question my worth even more as I saw myself as an even bigger burden because I couldn't get my act together.

Adhesions and surgical recovery
Hiya, just looking for advice really. I had a diagnostic laparoscopy done two days ago (on Tuesday) to look for endo. I didn’t get to talk to the surgeon after the lap because he was in an emergency op. But the nurse told me that both my Fallopian tubes and ovaries were buried in adhesions and that

Hello all..........first time poster🙂
Would appreciate some advice please. I have severe emphysema and have been in hospital several times over the last few months with the dreaded chest infections. The hospital consultant has put me on theophylline tablets (200mg), but I’m finding I’m even more breathless with taking these. I’m also on

Rituximab
I came out of the Edward Jenner Clinic last week with a lump and two puncture
wounds
, subsequent bruising only just fading. I am assuming finding a spot for the line wont be straightforward, so I am very nervous. Shaking in my boots is how I feel.
