Running in hail???
Ugh, had actually been really psyched up to move on to W4R1, having really surprised myself with getting through W3. I went for my first run in the rain the other day, but that was just a light sprinkle and it was actually quite refreshing, and dare I say, I think I actually enjoyed myself. However,

Hepatic Encelopathy
Peeps has been suffering from HE for at least two years, the episodes are accelerating and are becoming more irrational and impossible to deal with. He reeks of ammonia despite maximum dose Lactulose, Rifaximin and daily enemas from the District Nurse. He is also being treated for an ongoing Campobylacter

Thank you for dental advice.
Thank you for your help to the seven ladies who gave me dental advice. I have clove oil now and I will battle for an appointment when the time comes. Pauline, your fall was shocking and I am so glad your teeth were restored. There are so many things that can go wrong with teeth and very vulnerable on

Week 5 complete
Those 20 minutes were hard, but I didn’t stop - legs were shaking a bit at the end but walking calmed them down. Happy to have Week 5 under my belt & hoping the rain stops for long enough on Wednesday when I start week 6.

Finally, some good news! Pegasys and Phlebotomies are working!
PV JAK2+ diagnosed in Jan 2020 after suffering a TIA. Doc put me on twice daily baby aspirin, and Pegasys at only 25% dose (25ml/45mcg). After 8 weeks, my platelets are back under 400 and alongside the monthly phlebotomies, my Hct is now below 45%. Not much to notice in side-effects either - just some

New here: prolapsed rectum and straining to do soft poos??
Sorry for long post and lots of poo details! My son suddenly started wetting the bed nearly every night a few weeks ago (he's nearly 7). He's had a few wet nights in the past but we'd never worried about it before. No UTI, so we started with an alarm. Then we realised he had been/was having soiling

My Dad Tracheostomy failed again
What was a good day yesterday where we managed to get smile and a kiss for the kids. Today his was agitated and uncomfortable and he managed to pull his feeding tube and the trach was leaking, he back in the ventilator and in light sedation. Tomorrow they hope to review it and may redo the Tracheostomy

A few questions about post concussion syndrome
Nearly 6 months from a car accident and 3 months on from being diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome my main symptoms are headaches / migraines, fatigue and photophobia. I am wondering about a few things that maybe you can help with: GP has referred me for MRI has anyone had one, is there any point

A bad night, a morning run and how running brings a little magic in to our lives! ✨🙂
I posted this on the 'Bridge to 10k' forum after my run yesterday but thought it would be good to post it here as well - just to show that we can all struggle with getting out the door sometimes, even those of us who graduated several years ago...! I know many of us get these little blips - especially

Minoxidil 5% ED, Dizziness, Headache, Testicle pain
Hi, I am 24 yo, no medical conditions and had been using Minoxidil 5% for 1.5months(50 ml used in total), after this period I suddently started to have headaches, dizziness, zero libido and ED. I stopped using after the first symptoms and now is the second week without minox, but it is still pretty bad

Don't be afraid to go to A &E
I know a lot of us are afraid or nervous to go to A &E at the moment if our asthma flares up badly. I was a bit apprehensive to go myself last Monday night. This is my story of what happen to me. Last Monday night my neighbour( know for his big bonfires on Bonfire night) set alight a big bonfire just

Thank you to everyone, time out has given me a chance to reflect
Hi All Firstly, thank you to everyone who kindly messaged me when I said I needed time out. I have had a chance to do some reflecting. In truth, I have not been in the best of places despite me trying to convince myself that I am okay. To summarise, I have a very complex gynaecological history involving

Food parcels
Good morning. I have registered with the Government website and they have given my name to the supermarkets and so ASDA have now given me a regular weekly home delivery slot. Great. However, the government site must link into these weekly food parcels that DEFRA are doing and so today I've had a box

Memory Lane Jar
I just wanted to share this wonderful idea! My daughter presented a "Memory Jar" to my Mom yesterday; I have to say it was an absolute home run! All of the grandchildren wrote 10 individual memories to share with Mom, and they were written on colored scrolls, wrapped with a ribbon and placed in the
