Another big thank you for help received

Just wanted to post this in order to acknowledge the time and effort given by jinask, and Tto express my gratitude. I know you guys do this day in day out but a thank you doesn't go amiss.

Many many thanks for your time and effort spent in sending me the booklet and DVD.I received it today,Friday 1st May,and have as yet spent literally no more than 30 minutes reading the booklet. If I had read this way back in December when it all started then I may well still have made some of my mistakes but with a much clearer understanding.

I have spent so much time researching PMR/GCA/Steroids/PMR representing as RA etc, etc, and the real puzzle being that I haven't been able to find a description anywhere of the absolute and mind numbing pain of those early weeks.

Yet here in your booklet I can see a clearer example of what my experience was.

I cannot explain enough just how much this booklet helps, why on earth are they not given out at doctors surgeries etc,I haven't even watched the DVD but I will over the week end.

Once again a big thank you,I have decided to join PMRGCA as they appear to be the clear leaders,in my case,in providing support and and when needed a kick up the backside. Well done you and all those like you. Kind regards, Yorkie

How about a virtual hug instead. 💜

Aw! Thank's Ppd. Why I'm in so much pain I don't know. Have done less, exercised less these last few days - perhaps that's why.👵🏻👵🏻👵🏻

I find sitting around can make things worse. It’s the balance, isn’t it?

I suppose you mean 'how much to do and when' but these last few days it has been actual balance. My husband has had to 'collect' me from bed and walk me round the flat for a few minutes to get my circulation and balance working together. I take a few steps 'straight forward' and find I have moved to the left or right)!!! One knee and my ankle give way sometimes. It takes me at least an hour to become 'almost' human!

Thanks! A lot better today. The weather has calmed down and so have my discomforts.

I have had to increase pain meds this week. Its been much more humid for the past week here. Rain there??

Hmmm! Could be that I suppose. I have had to take more Cocodamol these last couple of weeks.

I think stopping the exercise makes some of our pain reappear. We dont realise that a short walk has such a good effect on our aches and painsxxYBB

Has your weather changed? Ours has :(

Yes! Chilly and more rain. Real April weather - although May has started rainy. Really needed in this county - many forest/field fires. It's very welcome (except for arthritics).☹️

Indeed, some of the stronger characters on this forum come across rather more quickly than others, others have bigger boots. All play a very important role.
