Ok so i had a fibro scan done a few months ago that was 9.8 kpa and 299 for the fat content so my doctor told me i have stage 3 fibrosis. They wanted me to confirm so i got a biopsy and the results came back this morning. I cant believe my eyes reading this it says zero portal fibrosis, moderate steatosis, and yes to nash ( non alcoholic steatohepatitis. Ive been scouring the internet this morning and based on this id be stage F0 or the last stage of normal fatty liver going into f1. Could someone with more knowledge of reading these tell me im not crazy. Could my fibroscan by that far off ?! It did say positive for PAS stain ive been having a harder time figuring out what that means. I have an appointment in a week but i feel hopeful for once during this process.

That's probably a more accurate picture. Fibroscan is notorious for giving false elevation of results when your liver is inflamed. If you still had the inflammation as shown by elevated liver enzymes at the time of your fibroscan then that would explain why your result showed a (false) higher degree of damage than is actually present.
You now need to get a grip (however you can) on the fatty liver and NASH if you indeed still have ongoing inflammation. More details on NAFLD/NASH at :- britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...
All the best going forward.

We are delighted the results are better than you previously thought.
Please do read our NAFLD and NASH info on our website for more information.
No one on the forum is medically qualified to provide more expert advice, we would suggest you fully discuss your results with your own consultant who is best placed to advise you moving forwards
Best wishes
