Getting a diagnosis
I became very ill about 3 years ago with a typical list of symptoms along with extreme
weight
loss
and loss of muscle mass. I was anaemic then and also had very low serum ferritin.

Medication confusion
These were tried at different ages but most caused more anger, not enough sleep, losing
weight
and
loss
of almost all short term working memory. We have not found what will work for adhd and have not tried any anxiety medication yet.

Cancer Diet Studies
If we could grade diet "difficulty to develop", on a scale of 1-100,
weight
loss
would be a 30; heart health a 50; type 2 diabetes a 60; and prostate cancer a 90, other cancers at 95+. Prostate cancer with a Gleason 3 is likely doable, Gleason 4 maybe doable and Gleason 5 likely not doable.

Update #8 Endo or Endon’t
Weight
loss
has been up and down, I have lost around 3/4 of a stone so far but anticipate much more of a loss once thyroid hormone is optimized. Unconditional love to those blighted by this terrible disease, Relentless x

Newbie - Is this Normal? Should I have Treatment?
I have been on HRT since then and have had all classic menopause symptoms for years -
weight
gain (despite good diet and exercise),
loss
of libido, brain fog etc. The HRT has helped somewhat, but I've had a nagging feeling that something else has been going on for a while.

General question to help me understand hypothyroidism - tell me about symptoms, please.
What I mean is, do you have
all
the classic symptoms (eg. fatigue,
weight
gain, dry skin, hair
loss
, cold intolerance, constipation, loss of outer third of eyebrow hair, etc), or only
some
of them?

Doctor says T3 is unnecessary
I’ve got an underactive thyroid and have severe fatigue as well as other symptoms (dry eyes,
weight
gain, low immune system, eyebrow hair
loss
). I started levothyroxine about 3 years ago and am currently on 125mcg.

23 Years w/ Multi-system Chronic Sarcoid
After a year of no prednisone and a
weight
loss
of just over 100lbs, it was found in my bone marrow from head to toe, after a PET Scan and via a bone biopsy. Back on the prednisone, and that 100 lb return, along with the same additional meds.

how to put on weight
The dietician wasn't even convinced it's the SSc which has caused the
weight
loss
but a negative life change which happened around when I was diagnosed. Or a combination of the two. Whatever the cause, the result is the same – I somehow need to gain weight and regain energy.

Laser emitting diodes compared to LED light therapy ?
Bryan Johnson , a regenerative medicine extremist, uses Laser emitting diodes on his head instead of our standard red light therapy. This peaked my interest. https://www.vice.com/en/article/z34ay8/bryan-johnson-blueprint-aging-biotech https://lightforcemedical.com/improved-cognitive-function-after-transcranial-light-emitting-diode-treatments-in-chronic-traumatic-brain-injury-two-case-reports

Hello everyone
This is my first week of joining the
weight
loss
support. For the first few weeks I’m going to follow a very low calorie sole source diet. It seems to be the only way I’ve had success in the past.

weight loss/gain
like you I lost weight after a couple of months on Acalabrutinib then got back to my normal weight after 6 months. 14 months in I’m still at my normal weight. I’ve never had tea or coffee and have always drunk loads of water. Neck, groin, armpits, abdomen and groin lumps disappeared after 4 months.

Fast growing thyroid nodules
I do have lots of symptoms of 'something', including
weight
loss
, but ENT seemed to think they can't be connected to my thyroid as my TSH was normal. They have refused to do any further blood tests. I can feel the lump all the time – a pressure feeling – and it occasionally aches.

Hypothyroidism and depression
Part of the treatment is about avoiding
weight
loss
systems, instead it's about making better daily choices, but this is not conducive to fast
