EOD on the NHS?
I went for my first 4 weekly B12 injection at my GP surgery today. I was expecting some push back from the nurse but she gave the jab willingly. I asked if many people are getting 4 weekly or more frequent injections. Just 1. Me! I’m a bit of a novelty as everyone else is on 8 or 12 weeks. This

Been on b12 injections for four months …
And I just went to the cinema for the first time in ten years!! I’ve been so ill (housebound and mostly in bed) for the last ten years with ‘ME’, that I honestly never thought that these would ever be possible again. V sore and tired now, but happy and slightly in shock. Even better, it was a date

b12 injection stopped period
I’ve had 3 b12 injections as levels have been a little low. Normally have regular periods but now haven’t had one in 6 weeks. Has anyone experienced this? What is the reasoning? Have had sore nipples for 2 weeks too. Not pregnant. If anyone has experienced this. How long did periods take to come

B12 level help
I’ve been having symptoms of low b12 so I got my levels checked. They are 119 pmol. The lab where I got them taken says normal range is 25-170 so they said I am fine and in range but everywhere else states I am deficient and low. I had a b12 injection and instantly felt better. My question is

Advice needed on thyroxine management
I am hoping someone can advise me about my thyroxine dose. Here's a little background: In September 2023, I was underweight and having trouble gaining weight and suffering from anxiety. I had been on 75mcg of levothyroxine daily for an underactive thyroid. I had recently developed pins and needles

I find this helpful.
Some do heal with minimal treatment. It is hard as there is no way to know how their life might be different with different treatment. I do not buy into it is established that it is about delay of treatment and or severity of symptoms. There is no basis for stating that as fact although it often

Imerslund-Gräsbeck one to know about
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imerslund%E2%80%93Gr%C3%A4sbeck_syndrome I had an argument last week with a Dr 'Fresh out the box' quoting the text book at me. He said the intrinsic factor antibody test was 95% accurate. So I retorted maybe I was one of the 5%! "That would be very unlikely." About 5

New Concept?
I just finished a successful 14 day trial. Injecting 2 mg 5 times a day including setting an alarm is a different world for me and trials are definitave in 14 days not like when I was under supplementing and it was 30 days and I was pretty sure the trial was positive. I made a rational increase of

diabetes & B12 Deficiency
Hi all, for the last 4 months I’ve been on the B12 deficiency (possibly PA) path and have assumed that eventually the B12 injections will make me feel better. I’ve had all the classic symptoms. I’ve had the 6 loading doses, 2 further jabs at 6 weeks apart and I’m now on a 4 weekly regime with the UK

B12 injections out of stock for a long time
My last post was regarding this but I don’t know what date that was. Versandapo.de and Apohealth.de have been out of stock with the Panpharma B12 for a long time. I have given my email address to Versandapo and they said they will contact me when back in stock but it’s been a couple of months (since

B12 over 4000 with injections, any need to worry?
Hello lovely people, I've been SI 1500ug twice weekly since mid December as a bit of an experiment to see if it would help my symptoms, many which are neuro. Not officially diagnosed as B12 deficient as my blood tests before were all fine but I was heavily supplementing so not really possible to say

Courage
There seems to be a misconception that it takes courage to make the rational choices I make with regards to my self treatment. I am guessing it is a projection of others fears which I do not have. It only took about 6 months for me to firmly establish that those in the medicial field were very comfortable

Which Brand B12 NHS injections please ?
My NHS surgery use Gerot Lannach and boy do they sting ! 😲 Had a conversation with the nurse doing the injection today, who is more than happy (.......to the point of being over excited ! ) to fight on our behalf to change to a different, non stinging brand, if I can give her some suggestions of what

Link between Vitamin B12 Deficiency and MS

A positive tale...so far
Hi all, I wanted to share a positive story of B12 deficiency diagnosis and treatment. My GP started me on loading doses in mid December after a serum B12 result of 202. Since then I've had every blood test under the sun which have all showed normal. Meanwhile he kept me on twice weekly injections after
