For the last 4 or 5 weeks my feet have been feeling so achy. Keep feeling like when you've spent a full day walking even when I've not walked very much at all, done 4000 steps today and I feel like I've been on my feet for hours. Not changed shoes or anything so wondering if it is to do with b12 or would welcome any other suggestions

Often mentioned on the Thyroid UK forum. It appears possible, even likely, that thyroid issues are one cause. For me, ultrasoft diabetic insoles helped enormously. But the exercises I was advised to do made it massively worse.
It's possible that B12 deficiency might also be implicated.
This is certainly one of the symptoms of B12 deficiency that I get. If you are not already on B12 supplementation, you should try some. Your problem seems to be mild enough and perhaps oral B12 will work for you...
Ive been on injections for about 7 years and self inject in between with lots of other symptoms but this one was new
People with B12 deficiency often have recurring and increased symptoms in between because of inadequate treatment. In general, I find that the frequency of injections need to be kept constant and even then, sometimes, the symptoms will flare up just before the next injection, as more B12 may be used up by the body due to various reasons such as viral infection, hot weather etc. Personally, I think that one should take a shot whenever one feels the symptoms returning and perhaps this is what you have been doing anyway. Good luck!
I first complained of loss of sensation in my feet around 2008. I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency in 2021, and, after fits and starts, began injecting daily in September 2021. In the past year especially, I have been very slowly regaining sensation in my feet. As individual nerves come alive, I have sharp, intermittent pains. Later, relevant parts of my feet, especially in the ball of the feet, start feeling like they have been beaten with a baseball bat. Over time, those pains diminish and finally disappear, I suppose as I begin walking with more care because I can now feel when parts of my feet are damaged.
Hmm that's interesting to hear, I recently starting injecting more frequently about once every 3 weeks now instead of 4 so could possibly be the nerves reawakening. I'm going to see if any of the suggestions that soothe plantar fasciitus help as helvella suggested 🤞
Do you also have muscle pain in the legs? Maybe tingling feet and lower legs, feeling of imbalance when walking? That's peripheral neuropathy caused by insufficient active B12. Could be that.
No, I did used to get that before I had regular injections but thankfully not for the last few years at all. Just weirdly sore feet!
When I was first diagnosed with PA, I was able to keep things under control by taking sublingual 1000mcg B12 strips. I got achy feet like you and my doctor said I needed injections. The injections fixed the pain in my feet. It could be something else but it could also be that you need B12.
