I cannot believe what just happened to my husband
I am horrified by what has just happened to my husband. He had Bungle on the green for her morning business when Bungle saw the warden and the cleaner from the sheltered housing scheme we live in, smoking their vaps outside the scheme. Bungle was on an extension lead so he let her go for a fuss. Stef

Lorraine show
Did anybody see the Lorraine show as they had a woman on who had a form of blood cancer and her antibody test showed no antibodies against Covid. She said those with blood cancers are the forgotten few at the moment. She said people who have had two vaccinations are still getting Covid and dying in

Antifungal and antidepressant drugs may help protect against COVID-19.

Let’s compare notes re: Covid vaccine
Hi all, just wanted to compare notes regarding the Covid vaccine. I’ve seen a lot of discussions but in addition to the need for advocating, I’m curious what you are being told from your transplant teams. I asked a million questions in my appointment today and feel hopeless leaving with no answers.

COVID Vaccination while taking Actemra
I had the first Pfizer Covid
vaccination
four days ago and I am happy to report the only side effect was soreness at the injection site for about 24 hours. I am currently taking 2 mg Prednisone and Actemra. My Rheumatologist said it was not necessary to stop the Actemra before my
vaccination
.

Post Covid Vaccination
I took vaccine on the 7/2, 5 days post
vaccination
my problems started. Was admitted on the 15/2 after my normal exchange transfusion which I have every 4 weeks. I suffered severe pain in my chest and breathlessness. Pain was so bad I did not want to breath.

Monthly Group Fast: May/June Fast
We try to hold a group fast on or around the first Sunday of the month. As I am planning a solstice fast (around 21 June), this weekend makes more sense than next. The regular monthly fast is simple. Anyone doing an extended fast shares it here for support from fellow fasters. We will cheer you on,

Immunogenicity of COVID-19 Vaccine in Organ Transplant Recipients
Deeper immunophenotyping of transplant recipients after
vaccination
, including characterization of memory B-cell and T-cell responses, will be important in determining

APS just during pregnancy?
I realise this sounds a bit muddled, but I'm struggling to get an appointment with my GP to discuss this, and I've been asked to book my second COVID
vaccination
, which will be the AstraZeneca version so I'm a little concerned about increased risk of clots if I do actually have a diagnosis of APS.

COVID vaccines and risk of blood clots
After a careful review of the data, UK and International regulatory agencies confirmed yesterday (18.3.21) that the risk of blood clots after COVID
vaccination
is no greater than that seen in the general population at large.

RESEARCH INDICATES HIDDEN PHENOMENON TRIGGERED BY THE VIRUS
At a time when we are trying to evaluate the benefit and risk balance in
vaccination
, these data make it clear that young people, who aren’t always considered ‘at risk’ of coronavirus, are vulnerable to strokes and other effects of the virus, immediate and longer term.”

First run after graduation!
Plus I had my
vaccination
on Tuesday evening and although I did not feel poorly afterwards I would say I felt things were a bit foggy on Wednesday. So rested and took it easy today. Felt fine on the run and I have noticed my pace is quicker today so feeling pleased.

Astrazeneca??
Is there any risk for HS people with having the Astrazeneca
vaccination
? I had first and only mild reaction and judge risk of not being vaccinated as greater given thrombosis associated with the virus itself.

I have had puffy hands and very tired since my second covid
vaccination
. Taking more prednisone tk counterbalance. Isn't this a side effect .of reactivation the already overactive immune system.? Will this struggle never prove? I'm going 5 years.

When are we actually allowed out? I’m confused
Morning, sorry if I’m sounding a bit stupid but I heard that shielding for the clinically vulnerable comes to an end on March 31 but I have read somewhere that shielding is advised after the first
vaccination
until your 2nd dose.
