Mental health deteriorating
Hello all, I hope everyone is as well as can be. I am quite unwell and I have no one to talk to about it. I am looking into counseling but I cannot even afford a copay right now. We have $400 to last until next Friday because my husband started a new job but was sick for 2 weeks and did not work during

Covid antibody testing - is it worth it? Spoiler alert: probably not!
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7954518/ If you are considering spending good money on one of the antibody testing kits that are commercially available, I thought perhaps you might like to read this article. She concludes that "Commercial tests that promise to measure your immune response

Astrazeneca vaccine and platelet rise
This might well be coincidence but I am wondering if anyone else has had a blood test fairly soon after a covid
vaccination
and if so were there any changes in the resuts? Many thanks in anticipation of replies and keep safe. Turfbeg

New Diagnosis of Temporal Arteritis
I'm concerned about the level of steroids and if that will affect if I can have my 2nd
vaccination
due in 3 weeks. I was in the shielded category for the past year so have not been out or had visitors. Over the last few days I have been around more people than the whole of the past year.

Things Downunder remain relatively good with regard to COVID, however our
vaccination
roll-out has been a total balls up with only very few people having had the vaccine so far. Good thing we have no community spread at the moment.

What to do about the vaccination?
My husband has now been invited to get his
vaccination
but he has been online and offered a
vaccination
centre too far away (bus and train journey). We are not comfortable travelling so what happens now?

Happy, drizzly annual leave runs
I love these weekday mornings when I have taken a Friday annual leave day, hubby off volunteering to the
vaccination
centre, and I go for a morning run, knowing I don’t have to rush getting into work.

In my quest to slow my pace I think I have just developed a new crush.... 🥰
I'll own up and confess all to Mr D-d later today when he gets back from volunteering at our local
vaccination
centre, but for now I just want to keep it to myself..... , and everyone here obviously!

. My
vaccination
was Astro Zeneca and it was 3 weeks ago. I live in the UK.

Significant reduction in Ventolin inhaler use after Astra Zenica Covid vaccination.
I still take my preventer once in the morning, once at night and nothing else has changed in my lifestyle but my Ventolin reliance just went away the day after my
vaccination
.

Covid -19 Vaccine for CLL patients in Canada?
So far my I know is a concern, I do not know about the special privileges for
vaccination
to CLL people in Canada. In some countries, the government has put a priority on CLL people for COVID
vaccination
due to their immune systems.

Covid vaccine
Hi, I just wondered if there is a particular
vaccination
which is not recommended for people on steroids or people with PMR and if there is a particular one that is considered best. Any thoughts on AstraZeneca? Maybe this has been discussed but I've missed it..

Compare your anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike antibody results to those plotted in Figures 1 & 2.
The Y axis is plotted on a log scale and you can see that there is a very large range of anti-spike antibody concentrations evident two weeks after the first
vaccination
, and that following the second
vaccination
the titers rise significantly in all tested individuals.

this doesn't sound great. but no one knows....
from the Washington Post article today. "prednisone, which is used to treat such conditions as arthritis in adults and breathing difficulties in children, appeared to result in a tenfold reduction in antibody production, regardless of the dose given if administered around the time of the vaccine. “Right
