Good News!
Congratulations on getting both shots of vaccine! My husband and I are both double vaccinated and feel a better sense of security going out shopping. We even had a visit from our grandson and daughter from New York after not seeing them for over a year.

Covid Vaccination Groups
Had to ring GP surgery to arrange medication review so asked which group I was in for Covid vaccine and was told in the over 60s and my heart condition was not a factor so looks like I will be in isolation for another few months. Was hoping I would be in group 6 but apparently not!

Do Vaccines Protect Healthy from Asymptomatic Infection/Transmission?
Do you think this article is saying these vaccines protect against asymptomatic Covid infection? This would be very important in protecting CLLers from catching Covid from a vaccinated person who thinks they are "safe." Short Article: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/948296 Full Article: https

Had second vaccine
My partner who is over 70 received a text out the blue saying they have brought forward his second vaccine today and come to same centre between 1-2. As I was out and came home just before 2 I hadn't noticed the text me until just after 2. I said let's go now as the centre was 5 minutes away from home

I called the health board and booked my own appointment at the mass

Why kids hold the key to herd immunity
To win the battle against the pandemic, kids will be vital. The fight against COVID-19 has long been focused on adults – particularly older adults. But kids are becoming a more prominent part of the conversation. We likely won’t see an end to the pandemic, experts say, until children can get vaccinated

Vaccination potential will not be achieved without increased production, affordable pricing, global availability, and successful rollout.
These four dimensions of the global
vaccination
challenge are closely related, and the development and production steps have important implications for pricing, allocation, and public confidence. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)00306-8/fulltext

Bridged the gap to 10k.
Having taken a group of ladies and myself through the c25k, commencing in September last year. We have since paired off to comply with Covid restrictions but continued running 3 times a week. My run buddy Jane and I run 5 to 6k on Wednesday and Friday, but have been progressively extending our Monday

My sister-in-law works in school and three weeks ago she was vaccinated with first doze of AZ and yesterday she was tested positive with Covid19. She is feeling very polly. This is very concerning for us all we truly have to be very careful

Autoimmune & Covid Vaccine
Will the Covid
vaccination
work? I take Hydroxychloroquine too. I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine on Thursday. GP said they don't know if it will be effective for autoimmune patients. What do experts think? I can't find any information. Many thanks.

Take action: Coronavirus and lung cancer
The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® recently released guidelines for
vaccination
of patients with solid tumors. •Patients with cancer should be prioritized for
