Unexpected aches and pains
I was first diagnosed with PBC about 6 years ago and put on Urso. I'd originally gone to the doctor asking for a health check because my ex partner had died of pancreatitis and our two daughters were left devastated and I realised then I had to be responsible and make sure I stayed healthy to stick around

I was diagnosed in February 2012. I have been on Urso 500 twice daily since then. My liver enzymes are still chronically elevated.
Has anybody else had this? I was told by my specialist that some people react differently to the medication. Also, has anybody seen the GI team at Mayo clinic? Thoughts?

Weight gain and severe cellulite
I got diagnosed with pbc two years ago and have been taking urso for about 8 months. I have now gained a stone in weight even though I don't over eat and have severe cellulite on the backs of my legs and some on my arms. I'm 36 and it really distresses me that I have this on top of everything else! Does

An update on how am doing OFF URSO.
Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know my experience of being off Urso, now coming up to 6 months off it. I am continuing to do great from an itch point of view. I have gone from being plagued by it 24/7 (read my previous blog on this ), to having it only very mild and mostly early morning and last

Urso - (whether to take four tablets a day a night or not)
I would like to thank everybody so much for their responses to my question regarding whether or not to take Urso in two split doses or all four at night time. I have been very exhausted over the past few days and I had not looked at my computer and when I did today and saw that I had so many replies

Dieting dizziness Anyone?
Like everyone, I've been gradually gaining weight since starting Urso so (rather than being on a strict diet) I have started to carefully watch what I eat. But at the same time I've been plagued with really terrible dizzy spells. I must reassure you that I am in no way starving myself and am eating regularly

Medication
I too take Urso and recently asked my doctor if I was a suitable candidate for a daily low dose aspirin (as my mother died of a stroke and my father from a heart attack). She said 'yes' as long as taken with/after food. I also take a daily 3,6 & 9 omega oil capsule to try and alleviate joint pain plus

History of my psoriasis
Ariund 1990, |I discovered some strange areas on my right leg. Before I knew it, It was all over my body, and to my horror in my scalp. I was soon launched into a regime of assorted creams and portions. It became part of my life to apply this medication. I didn't have the internet at the time
