10 day difference in labs before and after pain medication
I went by ambulance to the ER for severe muscle spasms on left side of my back. They drew blood before giving me any medication. While waiting for results I was given an i.v. of morphine and some sort of muscle relaxer. All labs came back in normal range so I was released with instructions to take Naproxen

Sun sensitivity
Hi all, I started urso last fall after being diagnosed. I sat in the sun the other day but not that long. I got a sun burn which really surprised me. Is sun sensitivity a side effect of urso or the disease? Just wondering. I am definitely more sensitive to the sun.

Itchy outer ears and warm feeling
It’s been two weeks and I am having this terrible outer ears itch and warmth is coming out from them. It’s started on one then second also got affected. Slowly the crawling feeling under the scalp came back after 10 months. I got myself checked for head lice but none present. Now I have itching on

Dizziness?
Last time I went to the Walmart pharmacy to pick up my Urso the said this prescription came from a different lab. I have been on Urso 2 years now and probably several different labs but this one is just awful. I got so dizzy last week my husband took me to the emergency room. I felt like I was doing

Fibroscan results
Question for those of you who have had a fibroscan. I had one with a score of 6.5 and was told I am F0-F1...Two sets of liver docs specializing in PBC have said that this score is aligned with the ‘normal’ population. Since then, I’ve seen many posts about scores in the 4s, 5s...makes me worried that

Urso Dosage.
Hi, Hoping somebody can help! I keep reading that Urso is usually 15mg per day... but my tablets are 250mg and my specialist/consultant put me on 4 a day, so 1000mg per day... I'm wondering why the vast difference? Thank you.

Urso
Hi everyone, I have just had a new prescription from my GP for my urso. I have been taking the capsules but the new ones are in tablet form. Since starting these I have been itching again and wondered if anyone else has has this problem or is it just a coincidence.

Possible gallstones and treatment
Yes, I am rather new to this community. 8 months ago I had an episode of severe itching to the extent I had to go to emergency clinic. With no diagnosis at the time, I later saw my general practitioner and my LFTs were quite elevated. After going through extensive tests the last several months (endoscopy

I have been on urso for just over two years but around two months ago I had a adverse reaction to it and I’m now no longer prescribed it. I’m to be monitored every 6months, but now my itch is bad again especially the back of my hands and my ankles. Has anyone else reacted to Russo and what course of

Encouraging fibroscan and elastography results
Hi my friends, I wanted to share some good results I’ve had - and not just encouraging for me I hope, because I think this shows once more that it’s possible to remain stable for decades. I’ve just had my fibroscan and shear wave elastography results, and they’re still in normal range 17 years after

Nausea with Urso
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed 6 months ago and am taking Urso 500 mg twice per day. It seems to be working, at least my liver labs haven't gotten worse. My question is whether anyone else has severe nausea with Urso. I do take it with food, and have tried taking it right after eating instead of before

Knee pain
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed PBC negative, early stage, and have been taking Urso for 5 weeks now. For the past 2 weeks I have had a lot of pain in my knees and difficulty climbing up stairs. Is it OK to take pain killers? And does anyone take milk thistle, vitamins or turmeric? Not sure if any of these

Elevating alp/alk
Am I rejecting Urso or is it quitting on me? My alk elevated 20 points two months ago, now it’s 91 which is 10 points higher than last month. Still in range but elevating. How did you all/alk elevate when you learned that you are not responding anymore

Little White Bumps on Chest, Shoulders, Back, Arms, Jaw etc with PBC?
Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed not quite a year and a half ago. I have been taking Urso since then and I'm currently waiting for my follow up appointment to see how I am reacting to them. I keep finding little white bumps on my skin, with what seems like tiny, hard white cores. They are not like spots
