PBC - Fibrosis stage 2
I was diagnosed 1 year ago, asymtematic with the exception of elevated enzymes. I am symptom free. I have fibrosis stage 2 as per a liver biopsy. I take Urso 500 three times a day. Ultrasounds and CT scabs said that I have. Cirrhosis but they were wrong. I work 40 plus hours per week as A Director

After being diagnosed just over a week ago I am on day 3 of urso in the morning. So far I seem to be o.k but keep waiting for side effects to get me. I seem to have heartburn after taking the last tablet of day. Let's hope it works feeling hopefull.

Period 10 Days Late(and trying for a baby)
Hi, Hope someone has some advice. I was diagnosed with OBC about 2 months ago. Been taking Urso for about a month and a half. I've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. My cycle is regular as clock work so naturally when I didn't have my period, thought I was pregnant. Did a test, negative. 10 days

Well got the referral, third time lucky!
I saw my GP today, explained the hepatologist has retired. he was as upset as me and now is penning a referral to Addenbrookes and asking for fast track> massive thanks to Robert at the PBC for giving me the right phrases to use. I had my GP laughing as I said there is no way a gastro man who does not

So much going on
Hello everyone, I don't even know where to start or what questions I have. I have been diagnosed with PBC about two yrs ago. My "liver" Dr was very lax in my diagnosis. He seemed to act like it wasn't a big deal. That he even said that it wouldn't be something to worry about until I'm like 75 and then

Finally seen Hepatologist
Well I finally seen the Hepatologist and I really liked him. He actually sat down and explained things and answered any questions I had without seeming to be in a hurry. Now I see every 6 months along with my Gastro. He did more blood work and sent me to have a fibro scan and a dexa scan. My ALP is still

One of those days
I'm having one of those days... Sharp pain in my right side...mid section warming up, irritable...no rhyme or reason to this stuff...food-rest-activity-stress...nothing to single out...UGH! Plus I just started having "metal mouth" with the URSO... Sorry for my bitch session...I know it could be worse

Hi All have had PBC for over 10 years and now i am showing high Creatinine levels, has anybody else noticed their levels going up, just wondered if it could have anything to do with taking Urso. Any feed back would be great Tia.

Feeling guilty
Positive AMAs since around 2003; diagnosed PBC end 2015; aged 63. URSO has brought LFTs back into line. Lucky to have few symptoms apart from fatigue. Fortunately I'm retired now so don't have work to contend with and family are doing most of the housework etc. It might seem irrational but I'm feeling

I am starting to lose hope!
Hi all, my latest update and I am more scared and confused than ever. I if you remember finally ditched the gastro guy, got a fab hepatologist who did a fibro, dexa scan and just had the MRCP last week. She started from scratch. I had seen her twice she was moving fast to get me either a diagnosis for

That's not my feet
But can someone please tell me if this is pbc/aih or medication related. It's on my arm. At first I thought that it was a spider bite. We live in the Florida swamps. It itches and burned at first but now it blends into my skin and doesn't hurt or anything. I'm taking 20 mgs prednisone, 1000mgs of Urso

Lab slowly creeping up
Hi! I'm so glad to have found this site. I 've been on Urso for 6 months and my alk phosphatase steadily went down to 163. Now they are creeping up again. My bilirubin is still within normal limits. Any thoughts as to why? My Dr. said we would just watch it. I'm doing everything I'm suppose to as far
