Ursodeoxycholic acid - problems obtaining - discontinued?
yes i had similar problem a few years ago, however, it appeared that it wasnt that the tablets had been discontinued but were not available from the same medical supplier, the chemist i think sourced them from another supplier, same tablets just different packaging. Hope this helps.
thank you! puts my mind at rest, thats pretty much what the second chemist said - appreciate your answer , was just getting worried as the script has to come from the hospital, via the docs to the chemist!
Hi, we had a similar problem with one of my sons drugs after transplant. Our local chemist said they could only supply the brand their wholesaler supplied. However, after a call from the pharmacist at King's, where my son was treated, the local pharmacist rang the manufacturerer of the drug we needed and now they get it directly from them.
Hope this helps and best wishes to you and your son.
thanks wiltshiremum - thats a good tip to get the hospital to phone as its so much easier to get from our local pharmacy - thanks!
