Newly diagnosed and concerned about pain
Hi Everyone, I am newly diagnosed with PBC (diagnosed December 2015) I've started Urso treatment, and my blood tests show that I'm responding well to it. My LET'S are slowly getting better. However, last month I had awful pain over the liver area and nausea lasting 3 days. I assumed it was down to one

Second hepatology appointment
Hi just thought I would update you on my progress, I have now been prescribed the urso, x3 per day. I am now waiting on the liver biopsy date, my specialist wants me to wait to take the urso until after the biopsy as the urso may change the biopsy findings. I have also been given a cream for the itch

Treatment and advice
Hello, My mother was diagnosed with PBC 2 years ago. She has been taking Urso for about a year now: 3 capsules before bed (she is about 90 kg). Her bilirubin is still around 35-40 but the doctor says that it would probably stay that way. AST/ALT/GGT have all come down. How long is she supposed to

Maybe NOT PBC......perhaps Nodular Regenerative Hyperplasia?
Friends... I had my appointment Monday at NIH, the National Institute of Health. For those of you not in the US, this is our country's top hospital and research center. You have to be accepted into their program, because they only treat patients who meet the specific criteria for diseases they are studying

More confused than ever!
Hi, Everyone. I just got the results from my liver biopsy and the results are normal! I know I should be jumping for joy but I just don't have a warm feeling about it. Prior to this, my LFTs were ALP =513, ALT = 450; GGT = 750, cholesterol = 10.6, Fibroscan = 14.8, BMI = 17.3, AMA negative, and B12

Can anyone help please?
I have had AF since 1994 following pneumonia. For the last 4ish years I have been on Verapamil; Digoxin and Warfarin which seemed to keep me pretty well balanced, apart from the usual blip occasionally. I also have psoriasis, only on the palms of my hands, and recently agreed to have PUVA treatment.

Urso
I was diagnosed with PBC last month. I did not have any symptoms. Then came Urso.😣. Now I itch at night, feel nauseous and have problems with anger. Too much of a coincidence for my liking. Has anyone heard of Low dose naltrexone?

Dairy before and after
Hi everyone, thank you so much for your replies, that did bring up another question though. How important is it to stay away from dairy products 2 hours before and after taking the Urso? I only have a little bit of lactose free milk in my coffee and sometimes, specially in winter I want a last cuppa

side effects from Urso
I am newly diagnosed with PBC. Realize from reading here that I should ask my doctor what stage I am. I started taking a large dose of generic ursodiol about 9 days ago. I've read that most people do not have reactions to the urso but I think I am having them because that's the only thing that has changed

Liver Flare
I was diagnosed with PBC in 2014, about this time of year. After going on URSO, as long as I watch what I eat for the most part, my liver has stopped hurting. But a week or so ago, I started having liver pain again. I will have some pain before my period, but it stops after I am over it. But this

Urso & flatulence!
Hi, Bit of a delicate question but has anyone experienced excessive flatulence since starting on Urso and if so have you found anything to help combat it that you can take with the Urso?

Should I apply for PIP?
Hi, I finally retired from work in July and although I no longer have the stress of having to deal with stress , I'm still no better. Aching limbs and muscles, lethargy so bad that some days my brain refuses to connect with my mouth! Anyway, plenty of you will have all this and more. Urso is working
