What should I do - follow-ups not feeling thorough
Hi everyone, before I start my question I want to send out love to everyone on here and I really wish being well for everyone. I wish there wasn’t a load of experts on here because it means we are all in this. I was diagnosed in 2022 - they thought they would find ovarian but they were surprised to

Bronchoscopy
My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately 10 days of antibiotics were ineffective. She had a bronchoscopy today and while waiting for results, I was wondering if anybody else was in the same situation and what did the bronchoscopy show?

Neuroendocrine prostate cancer could be restored to a state that responds to treatment
[i]It may be possible to restore drug-resistant neuroendocrine prostate cancer to a state that responds to treatment by depletion of a certain protein in cancer cells. A recent study published in Communications Biology by the University of Eastern Finland found that this protein, DPYSL5, is expressed

treatment side effects vs cancer side effects
”Pain” vs “discomfort” in abdomen region following radiation and on Lupron- is it side effects or the cancer itself? Dad was diagnosed November 2023 and received radiation for 5 weeks that ended Jan 3rd. Started Lupron end of November. Cancer has spread to part of hip bone and pelvic lymph nodes.

90% of skin cancer is preventable!
1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women will be diagnosed with skin cancer in the UK. With up to 90% of cases being preventable it seems ludicrous that the estimated annual burden on the NHS is £500 million!!!!! It’s not rocket science! It’s a no-brainer - Education is key to combatting the disease and SAVING

Chronic pain after prostatectomy
My friend had robotic prostatectomy in May 2019. In the almost 5 years since he has experienced daily abdominal pain. He has seen numerous doctors but none of them have been able to diagnose the source of the pain. He is an invalid due to this problem. Does anyone else know of a similar case? Any

TruQap progress-lower TM
I posted about beginning this newly approved FDA drug in December. My blood tests last week showed that my TM dropped by 135 points. This is added to the Fulvestrant jabs I started around spring 2023. The combination seems to be going well so far. I was previously on Ibrance for several years until

Changing the name of cancer...would speed up research
I thought it wasn't something that had an impact, but thanks to the patience of an acquaintance of mine who works in clinical research, I finally understood the significance of what some newspapers (Italian and European, but maybe in the USA as well) are saying about the need to change the names of various

Influenza A while on W & W,-- the price for not wanting a vaccine
I decided to put my pride and lack of articulate writing skills aside to share a my learning experience . It was in Jan of 23 when I was told over the phone of my CLL Dx. I walked around in a panicky daze. First I went to Mr Google. (BIG MISTAKE !) I started clearing out the house and giving things

chronic cough / seretide
Hi all. I’ve looked through posts about coughs and Seretide on this forum. Seems there are quite a few who have had similar experiences with this inhaler as i’m having now. I’ve had very loud coughs all my life. Now with allergy season starting, a nasty cough has come come back that I can’t shake

update on sore Nipple!
so did go to see the Dr who agreed my breasts were quite tricky to diagnose due to the amount of scar tissue from previous mammoplasty - initially felt the tenderness was maybe due to simple fibroadinoma but wasn’t certain - so I was fast tracked to Derriford and my appointment is this afternoon. Interestingly

Heavy news today
Hi Everyone, I am feeling really bummed tonight…over the past 5 months I was on Enhertu, I qualified because of the destiny trials. Long story short it was a disaster, not only did I have infection after infection but I ended up with extensive uptake in bone Mets and spread to my liver again (originally
