BUPRENORPHINE
This is my story: I am 74 and have had RLS since I had a Cervical Fusion in 1984. I took different medications until I went into augmentation from pramipexole 3 years ago. Then all hell broke loose. For the past two years I would walk all night because I could not sit. I used my stationary bike

Barrigel and markers
This Wednesday I am scheduled to have barrigel and markers. Doctor told me to take two extra strength Tylenol an hour before the procedure as well as one Valium. Also, antibiotics. Is the one Valium enough to calm me down as I am pretty anxious about the procedure? Has anyone else who has had these?

ADT- Low Total Cholesterol- Low Serotonin in the brain = cause of Anxiety and Depression?
I have been experiencing short bursts of anxiety about topics that seem very irrational to me . They come and go in a period of 12-18 hours. I have had about 6 episodes during the last year. In the beginning my "Scout" voice tried to over ride the negative thinking with rational thinking. During the

cancer marker 15-3
My moms marker went up from 163 to 332 . She started her second line treatment about 7 weeks ago after being on Ibrance and Femara for around 2 and half years. She is now on faslodex and anfintor. Does this mean its not working ? And if it’s not will they change both meds or just one of them? Thank

Update - friend with bronchogenic adenocarcinoma
Hello all, Thanks again for your replies to my original post as a newbie for a friend. She saw her rad/onc today and the PET results are encouraging! No cancer showed up outside the lungs. He recommends she see a thoracic surgeon for her 5 cm mass (golf-tennis ball size) to see if she is a candidate

looking for reassurance or advice
Hello warriors, After exactly 2 years of happily dropping PSA numbers on triplet therapy, my husbands PSA went up this month from .91. To .94 I know MO will say to wait for 3 months of rising PSA before we should panic, but that’s easy for him to say… looking for reassurance as we wait for next months

buprenorphine -what next
I’ve been on buprenorphine for about 2 months now. I take 600 micrograms. I have also been slowly reducing from pregabalin by 25 mg every two weeks and am now on 100mg. I had nausea when I started buprenorphine but that stopped after a couple of weeks only to return. I have totally lost my appetite

Worried about consistent blood in urine
I’m wondering if anyone else has consistent blood in urine only picked up by a urine test? For the last few months I seem to get symptoms of a urine infection regularly, however when my urine is tested all that comes back is traces of blood? Feeling so anxious about it.

interesting Xeloda trial
Hi friends, I listened to a presentation summarizing reports from ASCO 2023 related to MBC, and what really interested me was that for Xeloda, a fixed dose taken one week on/one week off, produced as good results as current standard of care with fewer side effects. Also: cream form of Voltaren/diclofenac

Clinical Trial Considerations??
I’ve been presented with a clinical trial and I’m open to feedback. Background: I’m 71 and in pretty good health. I was diagnosed with two Gleason 6 lesions in late 2021 and went on AS. At that point, PSA was in the low 4’s. Earlier this year, PSA rose to 6.7. MRI and guided biopsy uncovered one Gleason

The Science is Coming as Fish Says
Just realised I posted on wrong community (LoL.) The AZD5069 and enzaltutamide trial has been widely reported in the UK press. Very small sample size to check the concept but it targets white myeloid blood cells which apparently can fuel tumour growth. The drug combo works is designed to block the CXCR2
