90% of skin cancer is preventable!

1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women will be diagnosed with skin cancer in the UK. With up to 90% of cases being preventable it seems ludicrous that the estimated annual burden on the NHS is £500 million!!!!!

It’s not rocket science! It’s a no-brainer - Education is key to combatting the disease and SAVING LIVES!

If only Government would provide an ounce of help toward the level of educational intervention required to combat this largely preventable disease - the amount of pounds it would save would help relieve a significant burden on the NHS...

Instead, it’s left to charities who have lost a loved one to step up and take action! And 17 years on, SKCIN are still committed to not only driving awareness and prevention, but to significantly raising awareness of early detection to improve patient outcomes and save lives.

@SkcinCharity every month is #SkinCancerAwarenessMonth
