Sleep apnea common?
Is sleep apnea a common issue with people with Afib? I know I have insomnia a lot of nights. But don't know if I have sleep apnea. Is sleep apnea common with people on this forum? Could it be the main cause of Afib?

Should I take beta blockers
Been having my pulse running up some, and I'm noticing that I'm getting it more after hours after using the Methamizole my last TSH level a week ago was 4.76 high normal. Two weeks before that TSH it was 7.79. I'm taking 2.5 Methamizole once a day Monday and Friday. I'm wondering now if I'm going hyper

Augmentation drug study
I see in the latest Nightwalker that a study is being undertaken by William Ondo MD at Houston Methodist Neurological Institute (Texas) evaluating the possibile role of the drug ecopipam in reversing dopamine agonist augmentation. They are looking for participants who are: Available for 6 or 7 visits

Nortriptyline
Hi all, I’ve been diagnosed with neuropathic pain today and I have a few questions. Obviously the diagnosis is a lot to take in first of all. I was on amitriptyline for about 9 months previously, I took myself off it a month ago because the side effects were horrendous. My consultant prescribed me

I'm wondering now if I should start looking for another Thyroid Doctor.
So I went for another blood drawn on my TSH and haven't heard from my Specialist( had blood drawn yesterday) she usually calls the next day. Before I left I got a copy of my last TSH level which was 7.76 and the Specialist had left me a message to cut my pill of 5 mg of Methamizole in half and to take

Hope I'm making sense...
If my TSH level came out 7 should I be taking 2.5 Methamizole once a day Monday and Friday only? And is that too much? Reason I ask is because the Doctor forgot she was given me that same amount except it was Wednesday also with Monday and Friday... and wanted me to continue to take the same amount,

MS and things to avoid for the newly diagnosed.
Hello chat room friends and family. This is a post that I created over a year ago. It has such Vital Information in it for the newly diagnosed that ,I thought it would be a waste not to repost it since we have so many new members and our chat room . The responses were as good as the post and many

I have been on 4 a day 1mg lorazepam reducing 1mg a month. I agreed with my pharmacist practitioner this as a plan. Unfortunately a new practitioner without any consultation with me just wrote out a prescription for 3 a day for a month then he proposes to drop to 2 a month and then 1 a month with no

Does anyone else find sinemet makes them sleepy? My hubby's neurologist says it is a very unusual symptom...
We just had a very deflating appointment with a specialist and even though I insisted that off sinemet that hubby is not sleepy, he said maybe it was narcolepsy.

TRHR gene defect
Anyone know anything about it? Apparently, genetically speaking, my thyroid is fantastic (I was expecting DIO2 defect, but mine is wonderful), but I have upstream problems with TRH receptor and TSH signalling (PDE8B). The blurb suggests that I would have higher TSH (compared to my Frees) but I have never

Ignored letter from GP for second autoantibody test as first one said satisfactory.
Hi all, I had my results back from the autoantibody tests regarding possible SLE. They were satisfactory which as far as I was concerned meant normal/good so I ignored a letter from my GP saying to come in for another autoantibody blood test, in the next four weeks. As far as I was concerned, I didn't

Insomnia
Here we go again. Went to bed feeling decent tossed and turned flipping channels. I took my sleep aid and finally got to sleep around 10 but only lasted 5 hours. Woke myself up with another nightmare of being confined. Been sitting here for an hour and half just crying can’t shake this feeling.
