Glad to be part of an understanding group
Hi there I feel that this path is so long. Began in 2004 with bilateral mastectomy and TAC chemo. Then in 2014 tumor markers high pet scan showed bone meets. Faslodex added to Arimidex and now Ibrance is replacing Arimidex. Sometimes I feel that instead of the side effects I'd rather live my life free

Hello lovely people. I hope everyone is holding up in these intense times 🙏🏾💜 I was diagnosed hypo over 5yrs ago but had a terrible for a few years until I paid a fortune for many private tests and they found that I was u able to convert. Once I started taking t3 that helped. Around mid March I believe

Septated cyst after total hysterectomy (ovaries too)
I had another scan today after being told by the gynae that a 4.7 cm cyst after a full hysterectomy wasn’t possible so is probably bowel related. This scan showed the cyst is now 5.6 cm cyst and is now septated, it has a small amount of blood in it but no idea what else is in there. Ultrasound lady said

PRIVATE IRON TESTING - MEDICHECKS ANY GOOD????
I was on the Medichecks website ordering a thyroid ultravit etc test and out of interest checked to see if they did an iron test, as I need to find out what is going on with my iron and was searching for a test. Medichecks do one which tests iron (I am assuming this is serum iron) ferritin, UIBC, TIBC

New Member - De Novo MBC
Hi everyone, My name is Anna and I am new to the forum. Diagnosed in March 2019 with MBC straight out of the gate at 65 with 4 small bone mets on ribs and pelvis. Was quite a shock since I was completely asymptomatic! I’m ashamed to admit it but I had never had a mammogram (lesson learned the hard way

My doctor called me very weird case
I got my cholesterol tested in walk in lab, just out of curiosity, also got TSH and ft4 as they were practically free of charge, no ft3 as it wasn't offered without referral. My cholesterol is 3.4 <5 TSH 2.61 (0.5-3.8) Ft4 12 (10.2-21) He says I am very weird case as the cholesterol is low when it

Latest bloods
My latest blood results. I normally take S-Thyroid x 1 per day and T3 x 1 per day but ran out of my T3 over 1 month ago and still waiting on more. I have been very lax on my B12 and Vit D so can clearly see I need to get supplementing with them again, I think all the co factors put me off and so much

Experiences of recovery after gall bladder removal?
How long does it take for your body to adjust to no gall bladder and the continuous stream of bile into the gut? What are other peoples experiences. I am a 62 years old and reasonably active. I had my gall bladder removed ( cholecystectomy) in March this year. 2 months after the operation ( laparoscopy

Recently diagnosed metastatic
Hello everyone I'm caroline, 39 and in the UK. July 2015 I was diagnosed with primary Her2 positive BC, had mastectomy, chemo, herceptin injections for 12 months, and radiotherapy, treatment ended Feb 2016 with NED. I had a bone scan just before lockdown here as I'd had the odd niggle of discomfort

About to try Zoladex for pain. Does it work? What can i expect?
Ovary bowel tethering. Lots of adhesions from surgical procedures including ectopic pregnancy with rupture, tubal ligation gone wrong (subsequent removal of broken tube and clip), cystectomy x2, vaginal hysterectomy. 1 week ago confirmed extensive endometriosis. I'm in so much pain and hope this zoladex

Well, it's been a rollercoaster of a month for me... my infection did not seem to improve with the removal of the port and the oral antibiotics. The doctor wanted me to go to the ER to get IV antibiotics put into to me. Ordinarily wouldn't mind going to the ER but with a pandemic going on, I was very

Knee replacements and RA
Hi I’ve recently had total knee replacements (aged 61) because of Osteo and RA. All going reasonably ok until Covid and I suspended biological meds. Back on them now and blood tests all seem fine, except ESR a little over normal still. However the knees feel very solid and have been a bit puffy. Walking

Update TKR
I am a month out of tkr . I was really worried that my lymphedema would cause my situation to be worse. However, it has been pretty good. When i woke from surgery, I was wrapped from thigh to ankle that helped to keep excessive swelling to a minimum. My knee is slowly doing better, but there are days
