Good morning all I have recently had two total knee replacements, June 2017 and February 2018. The first TKR was a nightmare, the pain was horrendous., the second not as bad. Consequently I was on high doses of morphine for about 20 months. Coming of morphine wasn’t easily and this is when I started

My New Keto Life......
Hi, This is my first post, although I commented on others posts and love that we have a place to go and share. I was diagnosed with breast cancer the first time at 34 years old. Since I was young and triple negative with only one node positive, I had a partial radical mastectomy and 6 months of grueling

Aliens , chemo and Cymbalta ?
This is day 7 after my first infusion last Tuesday for second recurrence in my peri Aortic lymph nodes. It's the heavy guns of Carbo / TaxoI which first zapped these aliens when I was diagnosed in 2011. NED until 2016 when it recurred in the same lymph nodes. Despite my protestations I was given Carbo

Portal vein thrombosis & gall bladder removal
Back and forth to London Bridge Hospital this week and after recent MRI, CT & MRCP scans, we finally have a verdict and plan of action. Peeps’ portal vein is completely blocked by the thrombosis despite Rivaroxaban, Warfarin and Clexane injections and this in turn has caused varices in his bile ducts

Knee Replacement Problems
Hi everyone. I first underwent a knee replacement in March 2013 this proved a challenge due to a Patellectomy I had some thirty years ago, I’m now 55. The initial TKR didn’t go to plan and it turned out that it hadn’t been fitted all that terribly well so a revision was needed in February 2016. Since

Hi All, Has anyone (with ataxia) had Total Knee Replacement surgery (TKR)? I've been told I need TKR in my left knee but am a bit leary about doing it, as I have ataxia, due to Niemann Pick C disease (adult on-set). I have severe arthritis in my left knee and a bone on bone situation. Years ago I had

Help, I don't know what to do next...
I really could do with some advice. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo nearly 20 years ago, I'm now 43! I have several laparoscopic surgeries which only provided relief for a few years. Five years ago, I underwent extensive surgery to 'unstick' my bowels from my uterus and I now suffer from IBD and experience

Current Iron Status
SeasideSusie, or anyone with iron experience, I've just had an iron panel run by the GP as part of tests for Atrial Fibrillation. What do you think of my iron results now and do you have any advise? I still take 1 Cytoplan iron capsule a day with vitamin C and eat blood products as often as I can. Serum

Just wondering of anyone elses experiences with this? I have been taking 1 & 1/4 grains first thing (not quite ready for 1 & 1/2), I notice that within an hour of taking it I feel completely shattered and my ankles and feet are excruciating! I have only been on this for 10 days and not due for a blood

Pain Better on Foods
Hi, Im from the U.S. I dont know about the other states, but in Wisconsin you will have a real difficult time getting any drugs for pain anymore, unless maybe you just had surgery, then still your pain meds are limited to a short period of time. I had chronic low back pain. I also had a TKR last April
