Medical care getting older
I do not get anxious "out of the blue", but from outside influences. As I get older I find all of this arthritis, chronic back pain, plantar fasciitis pain, etc. incredibly annoying. My children don't want to hear about my physical problems, so only have hubby to talk to, which I try to cut down on

6 month check-up: feeling great, but whoops!
So, I have been wanting to post about my recovery after first line treatment for high grade serous Ovarian Cancer, but I thought I would wait for my sixth month check up. They only run a CA-125 blood test and talk to us, and only require a CT scan if your CA-125 climbs. I have been feeling better and

Very worried about undiagnosed autoimmune disorders.
Hi everyone I’ve been experiencing many hypothyroid symptoms for a few years now. GP has been saying results are normal. After advice from this forum I requested copies of my blood results from the last 3 years. I’ve looked through them and i’m worried they indicate I could have autoimmune diseases.

Need pneumatic sequential pump for secondary lymphedema. But what kind?
I'm 76, female. Have secondary Lymphedema following radical cystectomy November 2017 when 28 lymphnodes removed. Immediate swelling in left leg, thigh and abdomen, then right leg in May. Compression garments don't feel right over the stoma/ileostomy. Have hernia there as well. lSo I'm told to get a pneumatic

NHS won't replace my implants!
I have inherited a faulty BRCA2 gene with my mother and sister dying from ovarian cancer. Because I was alerted there was a connection between breast cancer and ovarian cancer, my breast cancer was discovered early. After a mastectomy and implants over 20 years ago, I was told by the hospital that

Estrad blood labs result
In a couple of weeks I will be 63. My last ob/gyn told me she will no longer see me, that she was no longer taking my insurance. I could not find another ob/gyn for hrt replacement, so found an endocrinologist that said he would do them. I could not see him this week, but his NP instead. 43 years

Vitamin test results and adrenals query
Hi all, I'd be grateful for advice on my results. I've been prescribed Vit D supplements as that is low but the others are in range so I assume I don't need to take any of those supplements? Or could they be higher? Vitamin D 48.2 (49.9+) B12 608 (187-883) Folate 5.8 (3.10-20.50) Ferritin 35 (15-204)

Getting nowhere with the GP
I have been visiting my GP for almost a year with numerous symptoms. A little online research suggested a thyroid problem. I have gained over 3st quite quickly with no change to diet, my hair and eyebrows are thinning, I get numb fingers and toes, I am constantly fatigued, suffering depression, itchy
