Almost there... Couch2 5k!
Back in January I signed up for a 5k run which is this Sunday! I had 2 hip replacements in 2019 and hadn't run a step since then. The first runs were horrid, my legs felt like cement weights. Now I'm doing 30 min runs, only to find out on the track today that I only did 2 miles in 30 min! Not sure where

Just needing a vent
I am feeling really fed up right now. I got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with pots and then 2 days later was in hospital with kidney stones. Got released just on time to make a family trip to London so had lots of painkillers to get through it but still managed to enjoy it. I came home and went to gp

? Ashwagandha and Maca Root If Hypo
Hi.If anyone who regularly uses Ashwagandha and/or Maca Root, I would love to hear of their experience taking these. I have recently read that both Ashwagandha and Maca Root are natural ways to help rebalance hormones in menopausal women. I am not sure though, if they adversely affect thyroid meds.

menopause
Decided not to take HRT as it will feed a fibroid I’ve got and also my thyroid has gone under active so need to get that to a good level. I just wanted to ask what supplements you ladies take to help with the menopause and how it’s helped you. Thanks in advance

Is it worth having a private iron panel done when the NHS results can be so different?
Whom should I believe? A few months ago (April) I had the results above via Medichecks. Last week these were the NHS results: Serum Iron: 29.5umol/L (14.00 - 30.00umol/L) Serum Ferritin 22 (13.00 - 150.00ug/L) Transferrin Saturation 39 (20.00 - 50.00%) TIBC 76 (50.00 - 72.00) So according to NHS

Bone-on-bone knee pain and RLS?
I don't want to limit this question for Joolsg because I welcome advice and experience from others, as well. But, Joolsg, I saw a post you replied to about 3 months ago in which you said, arthritic knees will definitely trigger RLS. I have had osteoarthritis in both knees for years and bone-on-bone

Bupropion/Zyban/Wellbutrin and sleep?
Hello, I started 150mg over a month ago. I had sleep issues previously but now they seem to be getting worse. Psychiatrist has recently asked me to take 300mg as apparently I haven’t responded that well to 150mg. Feeling reluctant to do so. My HRT was adjusted at the same time by an endocrinologist.

Comments On Blood Test Results Please
I don't post very often but I read a lot on here, and after having a Blue Horizon full thyroid blood test, I would be interested in the thoughts of anyone on what came out of it. I had radioactive iodine some years ago and am on levothyroxine (100mg). My results from the GP always come back as 'normal

Disappointing GP visit…referral for talking therapy and poss CFS, no increase in levo
As I’m still very symptomatic (hypothyroidism with history of results in bio) I went back to the GP to explain this, share my Blue Horizon test results and ask for a trial increase to 125mg of levothyroxine. Not a great appointment- apparently I shouldn’t lay everything at the door of my thyroid! GP

Osteoporosis worsening
I was diagnosed Breast Cancer in April 2021 and had to come off hormone replacement therapy. The following Jan. 2022, I had a Dexa scan and they found osteoporosis of my left hip eventhough I had started weight training in April of 2021. My gynecologist started me on oral bisphosphanate, Actonel. I
