Osteoporosis worsening

I was diagnosed Breast Cancer in April 2021 and had to come off hormone replacement therapy. The following Jan. 2022, I had a Dexa scan and they found osteoporosis of my left hip eventhough I had started weight training in April of 2021. My gynecologist started me on oral bisphosphanate, Actonel. I had another Dexa scan in Jan. 2023. Thsi tiem it was worse. I now have osteoporosis of my left hip and lumbar spine. Doctor gave me an injection of prolia in April 2023. I am concerned about starting Prolia in my 60's. Finally was able to get in and see the endocrinologist in May 2023. She wants to take me off Prolia in October 2023 and start a once a year Reclast injection in Oct. I feel better about this strategy. I should also mention that I started weight training twice a week in April of 2022 and as of April 2023, I started weight training three times a week. My mother had severe osteoporosis. She fractured her L-1 and L-3, separately just by walking . So as you can see I am concerned. Wondering if I should do a echolight scan in addition to the dexa. I live in San Diego. Does anyone know of a Echolight Rems provider in my area. Thank you,

I was thinking of doing echo light which is 5 hours away and I talked to the man who does it - he said usually the numbers are similar to dexa and at my numbers I need to focus on medicines. I tried the bisphosphonates and my dr said I failed them bc of stomach problems. I am now on Tymlos at home. It’s been scary for me about self injections but I am getting used to it and my dr said it takes 3 days to feel comfortable with it. Tomorrow is my third day and I see why he said that.

I’m also concerned about taking bisphosphonates as I’ve been dealing with diverticulitis/diverticulosis/GERD since 2020. Finally weaned off PPIs & have pain/eating under control but struggle to maintain weight. Fearful oral meds will upset my intestinal balance & flora. I only take Tylenol for pain. I have yet to consult with a physician about my latest DEXA. I didn’t have a good experience with the Dr back in ‘17 when I was initially diagnosed with osteopenia.
