HRT BEEN REDUCED
I have been on HRT Estraderm MX 75mg patches after a Hysterectomy 20 years ago. I am 63 and have recently been told by my GP that the patches have to be reduced to 50 mg and maybe lower again in a few months? I cannot find any reason at all why I cannot stay on the 75 mg patches? I have Dystonia and

Hysterectomy for Adenomyosis
Hi I’ve finally received a call from the hospital to say my hysterectomy will be going ahead in 3 weeks time. I feel so relieved but also starting to panic as I still haven’t decided if I should have my ovaries removed or keep them. My consultant recommends I remove them but I really don’t want to

Help and advice please
Having graduated last August I now run 2 or 3 times a week and am pleased that I am able to manage 40 minutes comfortably. Feel pretty fit. However, I am having a hysterectomy on Wednesday and I am really worried about how long it will take me to get back to running (or even walking!) after the op. Is

Fibroids and hysterectomy
Hi I'm 33 and just been diagnosed with fibroids. They said they are small but are causing heavy periods clotting etc. When I went to the gyno he suggested hysterectomy straight away, I'd only been at the appointment 5 mins when I looked at him shocked and said I wasn't keen he got very short with me

Embarrassing facial hair after hysterectomy
I had my full hysterectomy three years ago, age 33 and since then have had really embarrassing facial hair under my chin. I wax it off, but I’d rather just not have it 😞 I can only take tibolone HRT, due to my age… has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any tips? It just makes me feel so

Post hysterectomy adhesions and nerve damage

Life after my hysterectomy
Hi Just wanted to share my journey after having my hysterectomy in January this year, after suffering for years with adenomyosis and endometriosis, multiple surgeries. At the age of 27 it was a big decision but I knew I wanted my life back. Was on zoladex for 6 months before my op along with Hrt seemed

Effects of pain vs effects of meds
After a full hysterectomy three years ago, I’m struggling with nerve damage (caused by 15 years of undiagnosed endo) and excessive internal scar tissue, all causing excruciating pain. The GP keeps increasing my doses of pregabalin, which helps the pain (until I get used to it and need a higher dose),

Endo and adenomyosis with bad gastro symptoms?
Hello, I've been experiencing severely painful periods - pain starting at ovulation and getting increasingly worse up to my period, together with nausea, diarrhea, dizzy spells just before period. My first gynae suspects endo and adenomyosis from the ultrasound, and put me on Prostap3 and Tibolone

I've had problems with my periods since I was 13 and have been wrongfully diagnosed twice, first as IBS then PID I've had so many operations u can play dot to dot on my scars 😂. In 2005 I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I have been passed from piller to post & had every combination of pain relief

6 months after hysterectomy
So I had an abdominal hysterectomy 6 months ago and wow the difference is amazing. To be told I may never walk again and be stuck like that to exercising (which was my aim). Just taking everyday as it comes as I do still have endo flare ups once a month and know this disease won't stay away forever but
