HRT BEEN REDUCED

I have been on HRT Estraderm MX 75mg patches after a Hysterectomy 20 years ago.

I am 63 and have recently been told by my GP that the patches have to be reduced to 50 mg and maybe lower again in a few months?

I cannot find any reason at all why I cannot stay on the 75 mg patches? I have Dystonia and Osteoarthritis, which is enough to deal with and I was just about coping.

Since reducing the patches I have had really low mood and keep crying for no reason. I really cannot cope with anymore issues.

Is 75mg patches too high to continue on at my age?

Thanks for your advice and help. Much appreciated.

I guess the only thing they could be concerned of is breast cancer but if you are feeling great on 75 then they should keep you on that…. How long have you been on HRT? I know a woman who has been on it for over 10 years maybe they reduce the dosage also at some point that you have to decide with your doctor… good luck to you! Big hugs
