Hi I’m currently on 3 mg prednisolone for Gca and have got toothache. Can’t get appt for a few days. Tried paracetamol but need something stronger. Can I take nurofen express? Also on Accrete D3 and Omprazole. Advice would be appreciated.

Gleason 9 PSA 666 Dx 2010
They told me I'd no make it this long, maybe 5 years if I did everything they told me to do. That being unacceptable I decided not to do everything they told me to do. I started Lupron back in 2011 after surgery. Post surgical tests were all great, but PSA never came down under 66. They could not explain

Latest Vitamin and Thyroid results after increased dose Tirosint
Hello everyone, Thanks again for your amazing support. As advised I requested Vitamins & Thyroid tests as well as Coeliac test. The Doctor said Coeliac test not necessary if I don’t have tummy problems. She said these results are all good except the Vitamin D3 and said I need to double my dose.

Anyone recommend Vitamin D3 supplement ?
I have tried many variations-NHS-deadful side effects-an online one which wasn't too bad and recently another online purchase which caused constipation, plus had the dreaded microcrystaline cellulose additive-wood pulp. Please let me know if you know of a more natural product with zero fillers-if there

Vitamin D and Testosterone Co-ordinately Modulate Intracellular Zinc Levels and Energy Metabolism in Prostate Cancer Cells.
New study below [1]. I remember reading some old studies years ago that reported interaction between the vitamin D receptor [VDR] & the androgen receptor [AR]. Implying that one must have sufficient (hormonal) vitamin D & androgen to get the effect. From 2003 [2]: "Male Sprague-Dawley rats (165 days

Raised itchy welts
I’ve been on riveroxaban for 18 months following a heart attack. In the past 2 months I’ve developed raised itchy welts on my chest. Doctor gave me steroid cream which took it down but once I stopped it returned. Is this a side effect of riveroxaban? Going back to dr tomorrow.

I was originally diagnosed about 4 years ago with Erythema Nodosum but changes in lower leg lesions were recently reassessed and a new diagnosis for Morphea. This is an addition to other autoimmune conditions. Originally prescribed steroid cream for lesions and amitriptyline to aid sleep as legs painful

SUPPLEMENTS
Since reading this weeks posts about vitamin D3 and K2 it set me researching, and my question is “ Which is the best form of Magnesium as a supplement.” If anyone has any info I would be very grateful. I thought I would get a combined supplement so before I order I discovered there are several types

TSW - What helps
Topical Withdrawal Syndrome TWS is one of my most painful experiences . Even though I avoid the use of topical steroids now, some creams I use can bring back a milder form of those painful symptoms. My skin has gotten so sensitive!. I can tell you though, wash your face only with water if you are experiencing

The story so far...Part 3!
Up until I was diagnosed with GCA I used to be rather smug about not having to take any regular, long term drugs. It was something of a shock when I had to start pill popping and quite a struggle working out the best way to swallow 14 preds plus the other precautionary tabs. Although warned, I was not

Hello Everyone, I have a great concern about my eyes. I can't seem to cry at all or shed any tears! That worries me so much! I used to be able tp cru when I felt the need to do so but now I can't. My eyes seem dry...very dry! I didn't have this problem until I started taking and stopping that beta blocker

After four years on Ibrutinib I have developed mouth sores and neuropathy. I tried many lip creams, finally went to a dermatologist and got a steroid cream. Still having problems. Has anyone else had these problems?
