Hi, for those of you struggling with anxiety after quitting, try magnesium and also vitamin D3, they work!

my last cigarette was on Wednesday 7th of November. i cut down from 10 a day to about 5 starting in September. on 2nd November after a cigarette i had a vertigo spell turning into a panic attack. i decided to quit cold turkey from that week onward but had really bad anxiety since that day.

I am over 3 years smoke free now cold turkey. Anxiety was a withdrawal for me too and haven't drank coffee since I stopped as triggered episodes. Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol if not already doing so until things settle down. Drink loads and loads of water, fresh fruit and vegetables and a bit of walk everyday to clear the head and off course along with the magnesium and vitamin D3, good to read it is helping you.

Keep in touch :)

i don't drink coffee anymore , i now drink 1 or 2 cups of tea a day. Maybe i should cut that out too? never thought quitting smoking would give me that much anxiety, i cannot believe it .

Maybe change to herbal tea - its unbelievable what smoking masks from skin irritations, dental issues and mental issues - I personally think the anxiety is brought on due to the thought of never smoking again and coping without smoking, it does get easier, I promise, it takes time and time is a great healer :)
