V d : Hello can anyone give information on... - Thyroid UK
V d
Presumably you mean Vit D? Always best to be clear.
Your amounts don't make a lot of sense. Can you tell us exactly what you're taking because 600mg colecalciferol is unlikely to be the equivalent of 10 micrograms of v d.
Colecalciferol is Vit D.
600mg (milligrams) = 600,000mcg (micrograms)
10mcg Vit D = 400iu
v k2 90 yp
What is yp?
As you are taking calcium, have you had your calcium level tested?
What is your Vit D level?
I think you may be taking too little vit D, but it does depend on your level. Why are you taking calcium, anyway? Taking vit D increases your absorption of calcium from food - that's why you need the vit K2 when you take vit D, to make sure the extra calcium goes into the bones and teeth, and doesn't build up in the arteries and soft tissues. And it's rare to be calcium deficient in Europe, anyway.
Best to test your vitamin D twice a year when supplementing
