A small step towards some normality
Before the Apocalypse I had a nice routine of alternating days of running and
swimming
. Without the latter, I’ve been increasingly aware of the loss of upper body strength over these 18 months. Due to a shoulder injury (mentioned later) things like weights and planks are out of the question.

Have not been
swimming
for four years. Had a shoulder replacement just before covid struck and the pool closed. Well I have joined up for a year and hope to go twice a week. Thank you all for your positive encouragement.

Absolutely gutted
I used to do a lot of
swimming
(literally miles) but because of being ill and then lockdown I haven’t been for a while. I started again this week and even after a very short time felt absolutely exhausted.

Are you excited about the Paralympics?
But did you know that athletes with a learning disability can only take part in athletics,
and table tennis at the Paralympics? That's just 3 out of the 22 sports (or 4% of the medals up for grabs).

Five years post treatment🤞
Since I last chatted to you all, besides the sea
swimming
, crafting, reading and writing poetry, I have taken up cycling (an e-bike of course as my dodgy bones would not manage a totally manual bike) growing my own herbs, making pesto and salad dressings and growing plants in a mini greenhouse.

Swimming after having pericarditis
I have a cardiologist appointment July 13th, I’ll be asking him about starting
swimming
but to members on here who enjoy
swimming
did you ever get back in the pool and after how long ?

Why beta-blockers in my case?
I exercise 5-7 days/week (7 km Nordic walking or an hour on elliptical bike or
swimming
). My cardiologist's stress tests always complete perfectly. I was prescribed 2.5 mg daily of Bisoprolol and I never really understood why. Can you shed some more light on that?

HHM Training - Week 9 Day 5
I’m going to have another go at running 16K on Wednesday and will go
swimming
on Tuesday and do some yoga stretches. I’ve still got 5 weeks to go until the big day so if I can manage the 16K and then the 20K the following week without causing myself too much pain, I’ll be happy.

Swimming with Glaucoma
Hi, I love
swimming
be it in a pool or the sea. Do I need to take any precautions, please, if I had to wear goggles what type and where to buy. Any advice please.

Late to the pilates party
Pilates, walking, resistance bands,
swimming
and running are the way forward for me - quite literally! I can't recommend pilates enough, especially if you have a back/core issue, and not just for women! Everyone can benefit! Take a look at the link. P.s.

Isn't there a saying about game fish

What was your lap after care instructions?
Also, how long do I have to wait before having sex,
swimming
, cycling, yoga etc? I did ask but the nurse wasn't too sure. Thank you all in advance!
