Leave pelvic abscess and monitor?
Hi all, At gynecology appointment today the doctor said I could opt for
surgery
to remove abscess in fallopian tubes )and possible one ovary ) or I could leave for six months and just monitor how I get on , as I'm not in pain all the time.

Mirena coil with
surgery
has been a lifesaver for me. But it was not an easy ride. Had coil fitted 6 months before
surgery
and a year after I still, at times wanted to rip it out because of pain.

Follow-up with haematologist
I see him for a follow-up in November after another
surgery
blood test beforehand. He won't report my confession back to primary care. It's our secret.

Out of the blue fast falling platelets. CLL and ITP since long. By pass surgery of heart one year ago.
In January one year ago, two of my clogged arteries in heart had a by pass
surgery
. Survived serious complications. Slow heart rehabilitation. Was looking forward to a new spring! Thought I was mainly a heart patient. Now sudden fall of platelets.

Help I can’t take this anymore
I don’t know how much more I can take until they actually complete the
surgery
to give me a diagnosis and see what stage it is at before it’s too late.

on holiday with afib episodes and still enjoying it.
I recently posted that I have been AFIB episode free for quite a few months now and gave all the credit to my GP
surgery
changing my asthma medication from ventolin to fostair. My breathing improved massively but at the same time my AFIB episodes and ectopics decreased massively too.

I recall reading about valves installed by
surgery
. Anybody been where I am now? I’ll see my urologist in a few weeks. Thought it might be worth discussing. In for a penny, in for a pound. Thanks, as always.

Removal or not of ovaries
The ovaries are kissing and described as 'right hand side tubo-ovarian endometriotic complex extends in to the POD measuring maximally 73mm and left ovary contains numerous endometriomas measuring up to 27mm' This will be my first
surgery
and he has suggested - removal of endo, undo-ing adhesions

Low heart rate
My husband would like to speak to a cardiologist but he’s never been under the U.K. system as he was living in Canada at the time of
surgery
. Can anyone recommend the best way forward? Sorry for the lengthy post.

Prednisolone/PMR - Hysteroscopy
All went well, except for pain after the procedure, pain probably related to scarring from previous
surgery
in that area. On 6 mg pred atm. I didn't take extra pred. The hospital were fairly relaxed about it and I have been fine so far with other minor procedures while I have been on pred.

Prostectamy
I've been taking Cialis 5mg every day since
surgery
. No matter how I try, I just can't get any type of erection, or have a dry orgasm. It even hurts my penis inside when I try to wank. I'm starting to feel quite horny again, but so upset set I can't masturbate at all.

Does Gleason score still apply after RP
It was confirmed 3+3 after
surgery
. One open margin of less than 1mm. No sign of spreading anywhere locally or distant. My psa was in the .02-.03 range bouncing up and down for 8 years. Last visit 4 months ago it went to .05 which scared me.

Should I stop aspirin before non cardiac surgery.
I am due to have
surgery
for a hernia next month and have had conflicting information as to stopping the aspirin on the run up to
surgery
. Has anybody else on here had to go for a non cardiac operation following their heart attack and what did you do regarding aspirin?

Tips for dealing with GP
I contacted my
surgery
only to be told as usual, there were no appointments but a doctor did issue antibiotics and steroid nasal spray. A week went by and I contacted the
surgery
again as I still had a fever and, by now, I had developed a really aggressive cough.

Help deciding on treatment
I’ve ruled out
surgery
and have been given a few options from MSK for non-surgical options: 1 - SBRT + short-term ADT +/- brachy boost 2 - SBRT + brachy boost +/- ST ADT In my conversation with Dr.

MRI shows pedunculated fibroid and what they think is an endometrioma on my ovary. Is this problematic or require surgery?
So it sounds like
surgery
could be an option, but I have never had any kind of pain associated with it. Is it something that COULD potentially be cancerous or turn into cancer, especially with me being post-menopausal? Are there other treatments for it?
