After initial
surgery
and chemo she was in remission for 5 years but unfortunately the beast returned in 2021 and since then she has been under constant treatment. Her last scan a few months back showed progression with mets on the liver growing in size.

Did your ectopics die out after your ablation?
So, shortening a long story, AFib from age 40, successful ablation (PVI + flutter + mitral line) at age 48, 15 good years then an aortic dissection at age 63, the long OHS
surgery
for which put me back in Fib. Sinus for 5-1/2 years on Amiodarone but it was slowly weakening me, plus bad ectos.

Step 2 - mpMRI done, results not good, I'm scared now
I am also investigating Mayo Clinic in Rochester because I know they do a lot more prostate
surgery
and do mostly transperineal biopsies. And so I'm leaving this note here to generate a little discussion.

Salvage options?
Hello again, I have a few more questions, to help my husband decide between
surgery
and brachyboost. For context, he is localized Gleason 9. (1) Is the course of salvage radiation after RP typically the same as it would have been if the initial treatment had been radiation therapy?

Tuesday's Angiogram
And it was the best possible - all arteries are clear so I don't need bypass
surgery
, just 2 valves to be sorted! Yaaayy!! Downside - the cheese sandwich was rubbish.

Retzius Sparing surgeon recommendations
If I go for
surgery
I want to get Retzius sparing version to help with incontinence and hopefully shorten erectile problem. Hereās a problem I donāt know anyone who does this type of robotic
surgery
in Charlotte NC. Is there someone really good around NC, maybe Duke?

Is it possible to get back to Platinum based chemo?
After debulking
surgery
and many treatments, her cancer was declared platinum-resistant. Following this, she received 6 rounds of Doxorubicin + Bevacizumab, which kept her stable.

Shocking blood test result variation: NHS Vs Private UKAS laboratory š³
Having my follow-up appointment with private endocrinologist next week so had blood tests at the GP
surgery
but also decided to have private blood tests at a clinic near me. I've been using this same private clinic and having occasional NHS tests over the last year.

Endo/ibs/perimeno/which one!?
Was told I could have
surgery
but I declined for now as pain not horrendous. The pain isnāt linked to my cycle either but I do get full pelvis pain when on period and aching arse/vagina and shooty butt pains. Sometimes I bleed after sex but not often. (I havenāt had kids btw!)

blood test results help please
(180-640) Serum ferritin. 97ug/L 28-200 Serum folate 7.5ug/L. 3.0-20-0 The reason Iām asking if these levels are ok is because I have an appointment tomorrow with a doctor Iāve never seen at my
surgery
who apparently listens to you and tries to help. Fingers crossed.

Update from Northumberland!
The Welsh NHS just left me dangling for two YEARS between consultant appointments and GP
surgery
just enjoyed passing the buck on a regular basis. We shouldn't have this "postcode lottery" anymore.

Feeling baffled
The only reason all this came about is because I went for a pre-op assessment for knee
surgery
and they found a heart murmur. I have a cardiac angiogram appointment next week so hopefully this will shed more light on it all.

New to diagnosis but not to endometriosisā¦feeling a bit desperate!
Since then I have been in and out of the GP/nurseās
surgery
trying to get someone to listen to me, especially since my caesarean 10 years ago. Iāve just been repeatedly told this is IBS + heavy periods. Finally, I had such a severe bleed/pain in February so was sent for a scan.
