Possible IBS but GP doesn’t know for sure…..
Hi. I’m really stuck with what’s going on with my body and movements. At the end of March I had what I thought was a standard tummy bug, I didn’t think much of it. After 4 days of diarrhoea and not eating (even water was going through) I tried eating a plain piece of bread. Needless to say that didn’

Any tips pls ..? Dad's really tired of is cough - that's now a mix of dry (mainly) and some mucous
Hi, the mucous is not really coming out now. But the dry cough is new. The hospital checked for an infection (given the dry cough), but didn't spot anything which is a relief.
So, my question is really about how best to handle a cough that's dry , with just a little mucous ..?
He's using codeine

My experience with Eustachian tube fluid build up and solution.
I post here as some on this forum helped me discover a solution. It is my understanding that the problem was caused by the difficulty swallowing caused by B12 Deficiency. The Eustachian tube is closed the majority of the time. It opens in response to pressure changes including when swallowing. About

Saw my Haematologist yesterday
An update - I last saw my Haematologist, Dr Rebecca Cleary 2 months ago. My platelet numbers hadn’t changed so she said to maintain the lower dose of Hydrea so as not to flare up any mouth ulcers etc. To take it slowly. I contacted her to have a urine test done a month ago for my smelly urine as

Thyroid tests
I have Graves disease since 2007 and had thyroidectomy in 2019. I have felt fine for the last 4 years on levothyroxine (75mcg Monday to Saturday, 50mcg on Sundays). I've recently developed digestive issues with some indigestion and morning diarrhea or loose stool at best. Had FIT test which was negative

Clearblue digital....
Hello, Does anyone here have experience with the clearblue digital? I am 6dp5dt, and it is showing 1-2 weeks, but because i have had 2 chemicals, i am worried this is just another one. I am regretting doing a urine test , my hcg blood test is on Wednesday.

My body did not get the memo.
I accept that a test had been done measuring the amount of Hydroxocobalamin and Cynocabalamin that can be measured in the urine at different times after the injection and that the numbers are likely repeatable. I do not know if any testing was done on a subject that was B12 deficient. I find it unlikely

Nebuliser & Saline recommendations guidance (Bronchiectasis)
Hi, can anyone recommend a nebuliser, ideally one that's reasonably portable. I've been waiting for one for over 2yrs now so I've given up and will have to buy one myself. I understand I can use 0.9% hypertonic solution without concern? I've literally no idea how to use one, in terms of what to put

24 hr Urine Test
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experienced very different GRR's doing a 24 hr urine vs the blood test. I have had stage 3 kidney disease for the last 6 years with a steady decline. I did a 24 hr urine and it showed my GFR to be a 66. The blood test showed a GFR of 31. My GFR has been reading in

Are Urine tests for Thyroid problems available anywhere?
Many years ago my mother eventually found a solution for her total immobility, weakness, tiredness, and brain fog. It was a thyroid problem. It had not shown up in blood tests. She wrote the following:- [i]
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis., M.E. to its sufferers.

Update: re my "draining fluid" post
I recently about (4th August) posted on the above topic. I thought I was going into hospital to have fluid drained. To those that replied, sorry for the delay! I will be reading and responding over the next few days, but in the meantime, thanks to all of you, you are a great source of support and

Magnesium taurine
Hi all I read a post about people taking magnesium with taurine, but they were having trouble finding it together in one product. I found that dolphin fitness do a combined capsule. I use the firm often and I find them to be very reliable and well priced. Below is, hopefully, the link. I hope this

24 hr Calcium Urine Test
I would be interested in knowing what results others have received on this test since being on Pred. I know Pred leaches Ca from the bones. That Ca goes somewhere and if it's not hanging out in the blood, then most likely it's being dumped by the kidneys. Or so it seems to me. It could be plaquing up
