cystitisy like feelings

Hello , I wondered whether anyone has experienced feelings in the bladder and on urination as if they had cystitis , but received a normal urine test ?

I have been having this feeling for about a week now , urine sample given at GP’s was normal . I am currently having Avastin 3 weekly and have been taking Olaparib for about 4 months .

Any comments would be much appreciated

Hi Ivy , it may be I suppose . I realised after I’d posted that it seemed like a really random question but my mum had bladder cancer and when you’ve had ovarian cancer there is always the fear of a recurrence elsewhere . I spoke to the CNS and she said the bladder is not a usual site for the cancer to recur . I’m just drinking lots of water and will speak about it at my next clinic appointment.

I kept getting negative urine results with urinary infection symptoms. They kept putting me on antibiotics, despite the negative results. Eventually, they tested for a different type of urinary infection and put me on a particular antibiotic for that infection. I have not had a ur. infection for about a year now. I would keep on nagging. Emma x

Hi Emma, that’s really interesting , they were quite dismissive at the GP’s surgery .

I had UTI symptoms so was immediately put on an antibiotic. A more in depth test found that the one I was on was not strong enough to clear up the infection. After changing antibiotics, I was able to kick it. I would pursue it further.
