Cirrhosis symptoms?

Hi everyone me again!! I have posted on here a few times regarding my partner, Nick's cirrhosis. The past few months he has been having problems with his bladder, urgency to pee and last night he actually wet the bed ( sorry too much info) which he is mortified about. he had a urine test at the gp and they said he had infection and to take antibiotics. then they asked for another test which they said was clear and to stop taking the antibiotics. He has also had a yeallow tongue for 4 weeks and the gp said it was yeast infection which he now has mouth drops for. Also, he has developed a problem with his eyes, they are very red and one is sore. He had cramp the other day whilst driving which is unusual for him. I am really worried about all these things happening to him at once and would just like to ask if any of you have had any of these symptoms? we arent seeing his consultant for another month yet , so we are getting anxious about all these things coming at once. Thank you so much

Hi, my Mum had lots of UTIs and was eventually put on preventative medication called Hiprex, but I think there are others out there. Yeast infections are really common after antibiotics so it’s worth having live yogurt ( or Bio yogurt) while you’re on them and afterwards.

Mum also had cramp. There are other chats on here with suggestions for that. Tonic water and bananas seemed to help Mum.

Dry eyes are also a common symptom of liver disease. Your husbands doctor can prescribe eye drops for this. He might also have a dry mouth and your doctor can prescribe artificial saliva spray or pastilles for this too.

Do give the BLT nurses a ring. I’m sure they can support you until you see the consultant.
