Cortisol testing

Morning team :)

I have very low cortisol. Had the saliva test last year and the 9am blood test.

Wondering this year which is the best all round test to do. Is the urine test the most accurate in peoples opinions and experiences?

I have according to Medichecks, adrenal gland dysfunction. I have had the ACTH test at the hospital which demonstrates my adrenal gland is working. Yet I am pretty much bedbound.

I am making an appointment with Sarah Myhill as I am not getting very far with the NHS medical model :(

Anyone out there had success with supplements? Also my DHEA is below ref range.

Attached cortisol results.

Thank you

Jane :)

I take T3 and T4 which helps with my thyroid and adrenal issues. I take Ester C 1000-3000 daily with lots of water separated throughout the day. After breakfast, I take DHEA supplement (5 mg) and methyl folate 1000 mcg.

After lunch, I take Vitamin D3, zinc, DIM and a quality B complex vitamin.

Rhodiola supplement can be taken morning or early afternoon for energy.

It helps me to eat enough protein in each meal, avoid gluten, eat whole foods, drink lots of water. I limit my coffee or caffeine by 11 a.m. Sea salt or mineral salt helps. I try to get out in the sunshine and feel the grass under my feet (grounding) even if I am on a blanket reading a book.

I try to go to sleep between 9-10 pm due to circadian rhythm. Walking is good exercise.

**Most importantly: Avoid physical and mental stress. My doctor advised always to manage my stress. I have learned to say no and make choices that make me feel better.

I take magnesium and Prometrium at night about 45 minutes before bed.

Thank you for this Pookie 2, I haven't heard of all of those sups, will def' look into them.Yes grounding is so important, and sunshine. I have been deprived of those for a while yet I do have a small front garden.

Thanks for pushing me into making the effort :))
