I’m getting myself psyched up for hospital on Thursday now ... I’m having biopsies taken from both knees and steroid injections into both. I’ve got to drive myself home (1hr 30) afterwards and just wondered if anyone else had had the same ... I also will be starting the sulf too ...
Will i be able to have a bath when I get home (I have a bath lift) so that I can wash my hair... will I be fit for anything. The plan is for me to sit with my legs up in the car for a few hours before I set off for home. I’d like to get home and decontaminate (inc wash hair).

Yes it is an automatic. Both of my knees are being injected. No other option but to drive. Ordinarily they would ask us not to but no other way of me getting there.
Isn’t this the sort of thing the NHS volunteer scheme is for? So much better if you can rest up after steroids being injected. Or a friend who could drive you there and back?
When I had my knees aspirated and injected no-one mentioned not washing. I carried on showering as usual. I don’t even recall they put a plaster on the injection site. Ask them when you get there.
Except it’s and hour and a half away and how can I be sure that person is not infected and equally the car that they drive? I’ve seen too many people not understand infection control
