Steroid injections biopsies

Hi everyone.

I’m getting myself psyched up for hospital on Thursday now ... I’m having biopsies taken from both knees and steroid injections into both. I’ve got to drive myself home (1hr 30) afterwards and just wondered if anyone else had had the same ... I also will be starting the sulf too ...

Will i be able to have a bath when I get home (I have a bath lift) so that I can wash my hair... will I be fit for anything. The plan is for me to sit with my legs up in the car for a few hours before I set off for home. I’d like to get him and decontaminate (inc wash hair).

Hi bubblyalex,

I am sorry I did not see this post before now. I hope all went well with your visit to the hospital.

Everyone has a different experience after steroid injections. What was yours like?

Actually really really ok. She was very gentle. Much better than when they aspirated my knee at Salisbury. It all was a lot less worrying. Still don’t want to go out again. So much of a faff getting togged up to try and protect. I’m going to get one of those plastic shield masks for when I go for the blood tests. It’ll be a lot nicer... I’ll be able to breathe 🤞🏻😂
