As many of you know I have been diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome, Lupus, Fibromyalgia in addition to APS. I was on Warfarin from 2015 - 2020 (following a clot on my brain) My target was 4 and below that I was unable to function. Migraines, every muscle hurt, could hardly walk etc. in 2020 my INR became

Asthma anxiety
Hello everyone, I am just writing a post as I wanted to see if I am alone in this and whether anyone has any suggestions to help. I will give a bit of a backstory to this. I had mild asthma from the age of 13 however it wasn't serious enough that my parents never took me to get diagnosed. Fast forward

Montelukast
Hi, What are people's opinions on montelukast? I am trying it again as I still have mucus in the back of throat. However, I'm super paranoid about the side effects, especially as I have a history of anxiety. I took one last night and feel a bit jittery today but that may be psychosomatic! Already, I've

When on a weekly dose of Pegasys is it ok to occasionally alter the day you inject?
Hi everyone, I’m about to try Pegasys in a few weeks time on a weekly dose of 45. If I get any unpleasant side effects I wondered if occasionally it’s ok to put back the usual day of injecting by 24 hours if I had something special on the day of the injection. I forgot to ask my haematologist at my appointment

How big are AA tablets
I am considering trying weekly alendronic acid tablets but am worried they will be too big for me to swallow since I have dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). Please, what shape and how long/wide are the tablets people take? Note that there are good reasons why I should not have infusions. Meds involving

Worried About (Possible) Recent Diagnosis of PMR.
Around 3 months ago I became aware of increasing aches and pains in my arms and legs and an overwhelming exhaustion. I’m normally a fit and active 73 year old. My neck felt stiff but I put that down to wear and tear as I also have worn discs in my lower spine which I manage with Pilates. GP sent me

Prepping for a frozen cycle
Hello all Could I please ask whether anyone has used the Optibac probiotics for a fresh cycle or a frozen cycle? I hadn’t heard of them until recently. If so which ones did you choose or which did your clinic suggest to use? I’m guessing intimate flora for women which suggest they reach the womb. The

Haemophilus influenzae
Has anyone been able to get immunised against haemophilus influenzae? I've just had a bad infection which has been hard to shake off and I don't want it again. I know there is a vaccine available for adults but my hospital seems never to have heard of it.

Covid recovery and steroids
using the dsns method I had got down to 0.5 mg steroids in December but then I got covid. The first symptoms that I experienced were like a pmr flare. I increased the steroids to 5 mg . After two weeks of slow recovery I then went rapidly downhill and went to the doctor. I have asthma and was very breathless

#1 Symptom Reducer
I am a PwP and 56 years old. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the information, sometimes conflicting, out there regarding treatments and supplements. I am trying to determine what to try first. I am a predominantly tremor parkie. I exercise regularly & eat well. I take levadopa 25/100 4x a day.

10dp5dt BFN what more can I do?
hi there so we decided to test this morning with FRER and it’s the all too familiar stark one single line. Not even a glimmer of a second line. I think I’m out. This was our last embryo and was a 5AB. I did an endometrial scratch, I was down regulated on buserelin, my progesterone levels were good and

As with fellow PMR sufferers shoulder pain has been a common factor I started shoulder repair about 20 years ago with

and rotator cuff repairs. All of which gave temporary relief.

After telling the consultant how unimpressed I was with his dept, my non treatment and their non diagnosis skills, he agreed it was inflammatory, likely autoimmune and perhaps I could have

steroids and diuretics
we may need to discuss some diuretics with the GP. Mum is currently receiving some respite care and her legs are becoming swollen….they’re not as good as insisting on the elevation as I do at home. I notice there’s a bit of a flag with prednisolone and furosemide due to potassium issues. Has anyone
