steroid injection
Hi everyone Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone answer my question if it's safe to have a steroid injection for frozen shoulder if you have open angle glaucoma? Don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance.

I was put on gabapentin for 2.5 years which I have tapered off because I’m not sure the problem was nerve pain and the mri

The Plot Thickens…
I posted a few days ago about shoulder pain. It has got worse and is in both shoulders and is affecting my neck. It is far worse in the morning. My Osteopath gave me a private doctor’s contact details so I could see them for a cortisone injection. I had the appointment this morning and it turned out

Pain management Team
I have been waiting for 4 years to see someone in the pain management clinic at our local hospital. What a complete joke. When are the doctors and so called specialists going to help a patient who is in considerable pain and saying to him I want to cut my foot off. He was a complete waste of time, why

overlapping symptoms
hi all I’ve finally seen a rheumatologist and he wasn’t able to give me a diagnosis as he says I don’t present the classic symptoms for any one particular autoimmune disease but I have overlapping symptoms of more than one condition. The hair loss and rash seem to be puzzling them too. I’ve been prescribed

Appointment Update
Hello. Following my recent post about my dry eyes, I had my follow-up appointment on Monday nearly 4 months post right trabeculectomy & it did not go well. Had a visual field test and eye scan. No change to my right eye but my left eye continues to lose peripheral vision. The pressure was elevated even

T4, T3 and TSH results
Recent results: My T4 is 14.3 (9.0 to 19.0) T3 4.6 (2.4 to 6) TSH 1.2 (0.4 to 4.9) A & E result few days prior was 2.2. My symptoms lately have been palpitations but more of a feeling of slow heart rate (so feels more under-active). Also, heaviness in legs and flu like feelings Palpitations

What is classed as a flare?
Hi, I was diagnosed in November, had a steroid injection and started on MTX, once the steroid started wearing off the pain and swelling in my knees returned straight away but not in my hands, they have been great. Had a load of fluid sucked out of my knee and another steroid injection about 6 weeks ago

Night sweats worse and facial flushing after steroid injection
I had a steroid injection last Friday and have had facial flushing and raised bp in the morning and raised pulse since. Sometimes I wake up about 2am sweating with raised pulse and if I move even slightly it shoots up to about 110. It’s very slow to return to normal. Anyone have a similar experience

Atrial fibrillation after steroids
4 years ago I had
steroid
injections
in both knees, and less than 48 hours later suddenly went into persistent rapid AF, having no previous history of it. I found some Dutch research that found new atrial fibrillation was more common after steroids.

Joint Steroid Injection
Hi,Im due to have a Steroid Injection in my knee to hopefully relieve the symptoms of Osteoarthritis. Which is very painful most of the time, and can be very debilitating. Just Wondering if anyone has had this done and knows how long it lasts before wearing off? Do they work? Are they worth having done

Slow, slow, quick quick slow -to taper or not?
Despite
steroid
injections
before we left, his knees did not work well. He now has knee replacement planned for 19th July (I know, it's quick here). I am to see my rheumatologist tomorrow. Her plan was to start me on a reduction of steroids. I am on 10mg.

Anyone had hand therapy for Chronic repetitive strain injury of the wrists?
My question is has anyone ever had hand therapy for chronic tendonitis or like a chronic repetitive strain injury in your wrist? And if so did it help with the pain? This is the only thing that I've not tried besides obviously I've not tried surgery and I asked my orthopedic hand dr about it and he doesn't

Prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day for hip bursitis is that dangerous with Pred
I was prescribed Naproxine 250 twice a day yesterday for bursitis ? on right hip. Pain is so bad dr. gave a steroid injection. Suggested I take up to 4g of Paracetamol if necessary. Just read of NHS site that Naproxine and Pred are not compatible. Is this true for short time use? If so what
