Osteoarthritis in SI joints

Anyone found helpful treatment for OA in the SI joints? I exercise, stretch daily and have had steroid injections. Otc nasid's help a bit but I don't feel comfortable taking them daily.

I relate to your issue as I have arthritis everywhere, but especially in my hip. Not sure if it is the SI joint, but have done yoga and other therapeutic exercises my whole life. Like you, I don't want to take Otc Naids every day, although the pain never goes away, just lessens some days. My biggest issue is trying to sleep as there is practically no position that does not hurt.

I will be interested to see what the responses are to your post.

I have OA, tendon impingement and psoriatic arthritis in my rights shoulder…. I use Australian Dream Cream it’s expensive but it definitely helps me and I take one dual Advil at bedtime but you have to be very careful of taking aspirins daily …. What other options do you have if your in pain.

I am beginning to wonder if this itchy area I have over my SI joints could be psoriatic arthritis? I got a bad itchy rash from the pads used to attach my bone growth stimulator a year ago. The Dr had me d/c the stimulator and I was given topical and oral steroids to clear up the rash. The rash went away except for these two small areas over the SI joints. I plan to ask about it at my appt on Friday.

Anything is possible and don’t look for a quick answer when it comes to psoriatic arthritis it can take years because its a test less disease unfortunately. Do you have psoriasis or family history?

No psoriasis in my family that I am aware of . Maybe its just a rash.

could be allergic reaction to the glue I get this really bad if I use bandaid over my psoriasis.

Dr said it probably was the glue but it has has been about 10 months and there is still a little rash there.
