Spinal Cord Stimulation
I need to recharge… Following the unsuccessful procedure I underwent at the end of November (Stellate Ganglion injections), my consultant from the pain clinic presented the future options, one of which had never been indicated before. I hadn’t really been listening to what he was saying until my ears

Hashimoto's - finding a job
I really need some advice. About three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery in my lower back (they had to go through the stomach). I was off work but had been taking time off work anyway for a list of other problems - from migraines, fatigue, extreme brain fog etc. It took two years for me to recover

Pete's angiogram
We have just returned from Pete's angiogram appointment and he does have sarcoidosis in the heart. It has caused the heart to stiffen slightly so may have been there for some time. He is doing well though and is being monitored. We will wait for an appointment to come through for the Royal Brompton as

Is it possible to go overactive on levothyroxine?
Hi everyone, I am currently on 100 mg of Levo after routine thyroid bloods 12 weeks ago (still in 1st year of diagnosis) & finding my TSH was up to 14, which is higher than at diagnosis of Hashimotos (have had TPA test so know I have autoimmune thyroiditis or hashis) back in April. Gp upped my dosage

New
Hi, I'm new here and have read quite a few posts tonight which I've found really helpful. I was searching the Internet in desperation, yet again, to see if I could find something different to help me relieve my symptoms and came across RLSUK, don't know why I've not seen it before. I blame it on sleep

Fibromyalgia
I have just read a article saying that all vitamins are synthetic and do us no good whatsoever, in fact some are made from coal tar. To get pure vitamins puts up the price considerably and the British Manufacturers seem to go down the synthetic route. When you look on the web for information about Fibromyalgia

HASHIMOTO’S HELP PLEASE!! Should I increase or decrease my levothyroxine? Or what should I do?!!
I really don’t know what to do and my GP admits to being clueless. I am waiting for an endocrinology appointment but in the meantime would really appreciate some advice. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and started on Levothyroxine in June 2014. Started on 50mcg, increased every 3 weeks

News Just In.....
Are you all sitting comfortably? I doubt that but I'll begin anyway! So with the lidocaine infusion a wash out I'm back on the hospital treadmill to see what can be done. I am reluctant to have any more spinal surgery, not least because I have so much scar tissue that the last time they had to go in

Spinal Cord Stimulator
Hi Folks, My PM doc seems to be nearly at the end if the road with me - I've been a chronic pain patient for nearly 40 years now - I'm 60 this month. He's listed me for one more procedure but after that the only option is for referral on for assessment for a SPS. He is not very optimistic about this
