Just wondering, when doctors talk about 'your age' during discussions are they perhaps referring to physical age, not chronological?
I was set off thinking on this track by various posts/replies where responses have not seemed completely appropriate once the full picture emerged. For instance, if I complained I had been refused a second ablation (I haven't, but not been encouraged) 'considering your age' I know what the reaction from

Peripheral Neuropathy
Hi, I am new to this forum, and am a young elderly lady!! Over the last 5 years have been under 3 Neurologists and the last year or so under my local pain clinic. spinal stenosis pain
I have been suffering from
spinal
stenosis
for over 12 months, at the moment I am trying to dull the pain using pregabalin and morphine.. with the pain I suffer sometimes it is difficult to understand why I cannot get surgery, how long does it take on the NHS to get remedial surgery.

Surgery risk
Hi all, I have severe brittle asthma, and I recently saw neurosurgeon as I have severe lower back pain. I have been told I need a spinal fusion but because of the anaesthetic risk i am not a candidate for surgery. Has anyone else experienced this?

Spinal cord stimulator
I was recently recommended for a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implant, as I have failed all conservative pain management attempts (both pharmacological and non-pharmacological) for neuropathic pain. I found out earlier this week that I was approved for a four day trial, which is scheduled for 6/25/18

Chiropractor for sciatica?
Dear All, Last Christmas my husband strained his back and it has not got better despite ongoing physiotherapy. We don't know if he has "slipped" a disk as the doctors' view is that he should continue with physio and pain control (which has not so far been very effective). A lot of friends have recommended

Scoliosis and Osteopathy
Has anyone had success in being “straightened up” by osteopathy? The scoliosis was caused by my third spinal fusion three years ago. After two treatments, am certainly straighter but the pain is really awful. Is it normal to feel great for two days after treatment, and the dreadful pain kicking in for

W7R1 first five mins ?
Phew that was a hot one ! Not sure why but I am finding that in the first five minutes of my longer run I'm really struggling with my breathing, then it just seems to sort itself out. Can't believe that I am actually running for 25 mins non stop, 11 years ago I had a spinal fusion and never thought I'd

Get to know me a little bit 🤓
My dr think my
spinal
Stenosis
is a factor in my RLS. Hopefully o get relief. I have a huge knot in my back as well. It sucks so bad because my other half won’t sleep with me because I’m constantly getting up and moving my legs constantly. We sleep in different rooms by the way.
