Spinal cord stimulation
Hi, I need advice on who to contact in the nhs to be put forward for spinal cord stimulation. I am not a confident person and am worried I would be turned down and not have the knowledge to back myself up with knowledge and facts to show I should be considered. I don't know anyone who has had this done

Hello I’m new to this site although I posted the letter from my cousin to make you laugh like I did or at least smile. I hope that you do not feel this self-indulgent but this is the only way I can let you see why I feel as I do. In the 1970’s I fell through a trapdoor during a performance thus ending

Muscle spasms
Hi there, I've had major spinal surgery about 11 months ago, with a lot of metalware now holding my back stable, and I was thinking these muscle spasms and stretching are due to this but I'm so confused. I've been having these horrible spasm attacks day and night and I have to keep stretching my whole

Symptoms and recovery
Good morning , hope everyone is having better weather than we are today, it's snowing and miserable. Looking for some advice again, everyone here is so nice and very helpful, I'm recovering from spinal surgery, and it's not going to well, initially after my surgery I was doing ok then I had a setback

Good Early Surgery Outcome but frUstrating Warfarin management
Sorry it's taken a couple weeks to write an update on my one level spinal fusion but here it goes: my GP organized my presurgery bridging using LOVENOX. Felt like kind of a joke as my INR was only 1.5 ten days prior to surgery (my therapeutic range he agreed on is 2.5-3.5, which I only hit once since

Peter's health
Pete is not doing so well today, he seems to be choking a lot and producing excessive amounts of nasty sticky mucous. He does have his back up antibiotics but hopefully they will not be needed. He feels he bumbles from one thing to another but tries to remain cheerful. The back problem is seemingly being

Spinal Cord Stimulation
I need to recharge… Following the unsuccessful procedure I underwent at the end of November (Stellate Ganglion injections), my consultant from the pain clinic presented the future options, one of which had never been indicated before. I hadn’t really been listening to what he was saying until my ears

Hashimoto's - finding a job
I really need some advice. About three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery in my lower back (they had to go through the stomach). I was off work but had been taking time off work anyway for a list of other problems - from migraines, fatigue, extreme brain fog etc. It took two years for me to recover

Haven't posted in a while, new things happening
Turns out I have some
spinal
stenosis
going on in my lower back, and I wasn't supposed to have an appendix, but I do. I also have a very enlarged liver. Normal liver is to be 18cm, mine is 21cm and very fatty. So I had to make an appointment with my family doctor.

Surgeries, over medications, and misery
Been a year since spinal surgery and its been nothing bit trouble. The use of terrible anti-tnf over better meds because insurance wouldn't approve and now needing stomach and foot surgeries. When is too much too much? I might be learning the answer ;(.
