PET/CT scan and horrific increase in PMR pain
I had PET/CT for reasons other than PMR on Friday. SAT, Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs so far following this PMR is awful. Screaming muscles...stiffness shoulders, neck, outer upper arms, hips (much of this also in middle of night). PMR started 2 weeks after 2nd Moderna (end of Feb 2021). Diagnosed

Rheumy does not believe vitamin K is useful
Just got back from my first rheumy appointment. I grilled him about all sorts if things including should I take Vitamin K with my calcium. He said there is no evidence to suggest that it has any use as there have been no "blind clinical trials". I told him I had read it on this forum and he said "people

Sorry me again peak flow on 43inch child
I'm new to this and told to write down morning and nights best of 3... we couldn't get the peak flow meter for 2 days and the difference the inhalers made in that time symptom wise in terms of cough and mucus is amazing almost like a switch slight cough on exercise and if stressed or its cold outside

Does drinking wine affect your COPD? As yet I have no diagnosis due to Covid- although from what I read and my peak flow results I’m pretty sure I have unfortunately- I find I cough up more mucus during the night and I am more wheezy too . I have already given up red wine but I am finding that even

Newly diagnosed with asthma - need help!
I have been suffering with breathing difficulties for 2 years, following a severe chest infection. My breathing never got back to normal. I've tried to get help from the GP several times, but was told for the first year that 'it takes time to recover from chest infections' and in the second year that

Re cap on vitamins please.
Hi, I used to take regular supplements as per the great guidance on here. However, the supplements added up, in cost too, and tbh I just got fed up of ordering, paying for, and remembering to take my T4 plus T3 every day plus a whole load of supplements. So, yes, I stopped I went back onto T4 only

Diet Supplements
Once again unable to sleep. Thinking about my diet. I’m having some stomach and digestive investigations. My stomach is now so distended and solid with it. It looks like I have someone else’s abdomen and my own skinny arms and legs. It’s hurting my back. I am determined to boost my health this year by

Vitamin K
Hello out there! I’ve been unable to get a doctor’s advice or even a comment on the wisdom of taking vitamin D3 with vitamin K2. I read on Google (!) that D3 ensures the absorption of calcium while K2 directs calcium to the bones and prevents it from depositing where it shouldn’t eg arteries, organs

Snowy Run - and a question about light headedness
Was due to do my usual 30-35 min consolidation run yesterday but the gremlins got the better of me and I ended up settling for my YWA session as my daily exercise instead. I decided that I'd go out tomorrow (today) for my run. There was more faffage this morning then a strange thing happened, I noticed

Peak flow readings
Hi , my gp requested 2 weeks of peak flow readings (since having a pacemaker then becoming seriously unwell with pericarditis and an effusion this time last year) I get out of breath on exertion , my cardiologist has assured me there’s nothing cardiac causing my breathlessness so gp is thinking possible

Today's Lunch: 12-25-2021: Cheese Omelet 🍳 🧀
For lunch today, I had an
omelet that was made with liquid eggs, Munster cheese, Swiss cheese and Cheddar cheese. I also had a small glass of Vegan Eggnog and a Greek yogurt (Key Lime Blended) on the side.
The entire meal was really good and also was low carb. high protein.

3 months on- Feeling better than I was
As in the title, after following advice given to me on here, by Seaside Susie and Slow Dragon….i feel much better. Not 100% but getting there I hope! I managed to get an appointment with a new doctor who agreed to raising the dose of my Levo by 25mcg which is what I had been trying for with no luck…

Peake flow personal best
Hey guys, Just wanted to know how often people adjust their personal best peak flow? Mine is currently set at 500 but I've been done at 85% of that for at least a month now. Just want to get an idea of everybody else's timings.

Peak Flow reading too high?
I'm currently being tested for asthma as I've been coughing for 3 months straight and having problems with breath in the cold. I've been told to use a peak flow meter twice a day, the reading I got was around 550 in the doctors and this is around my expected value. However, since getting a Medi Standard
